Extra police have been deployed to Enfield to handle clashes that have broken out this evening after a night of rioting in nearby Tottenham.

At least 200 youths are believed to be in the area Enfield High Street where shop windows have been smashed and a police car attacked.

Scotland Yard confirmed several people have been arrested after looting in the borough.

While it so far does not appear to be anything like the riots that occurred last night in Tottenham it is once again another night of rioting in London, England.

Guradian “Live Reaction” with updates

Hopefully the rain coming in will chase them back into their houses and end this ridiculous violence.

forgive me for making a mistake in my link
perhaps if you had clarified that instead of just spitting a link back at me
I'd be more chill

it just disturbs me greatly to see the attention that sensationalist lying title is getting over this one
I apologize.

All is forgiven

I'm guessing this should be big news over there if it's as big as it sounds. Maybe the news is slow because it's the middle of the night over there though.

From what I can tell, our ATS eyes on the ground seem to think this is a very serious situation that is more widespread then the media is reporting. I'm beginning to wonder if they are downplaying the situation intentionally.

There's been a few threads on this topic!

As you can imagine, it's been big news over here in the UK...

It's all supposedly centred around a gangster's death from the police! My friend lives in Enfield...hope he's ok. I'm pretty sure he'd be one of the rioters out there!

The Metropolitan police said on Twitter on Sunday night: "Police are responding to a significant amount of criminal activity across London and are deploying officers to tackle it."

It sounds pretty serious.... not just a few neighborhoods anymore.

if you mean CNN isn't reporting it then yeah, I'm assuming they're busy trying to find the next Casey Anthony to distract us from the reality of the nat'l debt - not to mention their apathy in the wake of their superiority complex

that means they just don't care

but I found plenty of sources reporting it - it may be more serious - but its hardly a blackout

if it wasnt for the blackout title I wouldn't even have read that other thread
just shows to go you - sensationalism works on the masses

once again....

Troll is the new insult when you can't call me a name that is T&C forbidden

The fact that my opinion differs from yours does not constitute a troll.

When I sign up or do not sign up does not constitute a troll.

Sensational, lying headlines, to me seems trollish.

Those who resort to insults are the ones who realize they no longer have a valid point.

I think you have a great point there
in a SHTF situation, I know I'll be looting - without cause
for the sake of looting

I'm just more likely to admit it than most people
