A further messure may also be to establish a new National Service Call-Up.... To some extent youths will be put into Army service from for a few years. This will fulfil the Armies grown need for man power as it deploys to more and more regions overseas this century.

Another thing to note. The Government, as well as the Police force and the British press were in increasing danger of being dragged into the Phone Hacking Scandel and brought down. The Hacking offences were spreading to other newspapers, more established that News International, and to politicians.

Suddenly this story has vanished from MSN.... Hmmmm

Local reports of shop windows smashed and disturbances, lots of police in Wigan.

Primark looted some reports of trouble at Robin Park.

Could be Leigh and Bolton next.

This is not the way to change the country, it's very upsetting.

Anyone know how Trafford Centre doing?

I very much doubt that there will be a National Service Call-Up.

Considering their already making huge cuts to current soldiers.The gov cant afford more troops.

I don't know what to think these days...I didn't think the kids were this organised so as to get together like this all over and get damaging. There must be something else too it in my opinion. Does anyone know how many people are involved in causing the actual damage as supposed to the kids who just take advantage stealing the stuff once the damage is done? Could it be that two things are happening here at ones? An organised revolt against (what ever it is) and just opportunitists hoping to get some nice jeans and some sweets???

I, and others, have been predicting this kind of civil unrest for a long time. The signs (govt corruption, social neglect, unemployment, recession, etc.) have been there and growing for quite a while. It is no surprise, but it is still shocking and surreal. I would say you are correct about the motivations - a lot of people are fully fed up with poiltical corruption and being ripped off, but some are just taking advantage of a very chaotic situation.

Hope this helps - in short, 2 good questions and (I hope) a fairly good answer

I couldnt agree more with you man , phone hacking gone , norway gone , Japan gone ! its like they replaced each other , and even the looming euro market crash will be shadowed by the riots of todays youth gone wrong .
Our rights and even their rights will be reduced to being allowed to live in a virtual cell that is our homes !

However when our freedoms start to fade , will people really revolt or will it be too late as most will have signed on the dotted line to "protect " us all !

Yep, I totally agree. Someone is provoking, and sending out professional rioters to incite in all sorts of places.

I completely agree with you on that.

And I suggest that everyone start figuring out who is doing it. When it was just "Arabs" looking for "Freedom" (what a load of malarkey) everyone was willing to believe that.

In the mean time - start looking for the online uploads of the videos of the riots. Look for the professional rioters in the crowds.

In the mean time, your cause for society isn't advanced by letting idiots tear your streets apart.

That's enough. There is a clear agenda of someone provoking peoples. It isn't random. It isn't just "anarchists."

The little boys wanting toys still don't get to rule.

Quiter? I don't know about that - it looks like it's spreading from cities (one city two days ago, now five cities today) plus lots of reports of small towns with trouble.

Why in goodness name do some people think shooting someone is the solution to everything - it was a shooting that started this mess! As for forced deportation and martial law... you really are showing some bizarre attitude to human life. An attitude that most good Americans I know would describe as disgraceful, shameful and unwanted.

Then you might imagine that as a Canadian I'm even less likely to win your popularity contest.

Cities don't get ruled by unruly children. Common-law is for everyone. Don't like it? Move to Saudi Arabia. The biggest boys with the least compuntions get to rule there.
