My father also tells me he saw a ball of light once. It entered his office door, circled him and an uncle of mine that was with him at the time and went out of the window. He also saw an UFO once together with some people in the street. It was some years ago in the Algarve - portugal.

But that`s my father. I`m still a virgin at 45 with this kind of things

I grew up in a house that was dreadfully haunted. I've seen UFO's [or something unexplainable in the sky to me] five times. I've been in two tornadoes. I was in a small tremor in Oklahoma, but no earthquakes. No tsunamis. No hurricanes. Never been hit by a meteor. Have not spontaneously combusted [yet]. I have not been hit by a chunk of ice falling from a passing plane. Oh and there was one time in my teen years where a friend and I were driving through back roads in our home town. We were on our way to visit a friend. We were talking then seemed to realize that we had lost about 30 minutes and found ourselves arriving at the main road from the opposite direction than we should have.

But I think the strangest, most unexplainable thing to ever happen to me was when I was in my early twenties, when a friend (not a close friend - more of an acquaintance) was killed in a car accident. We were not close, but I did admire the man for his hand to hand combat skills and he was the guy that everyone looked up to. About a week after his death, he began appearing to me. Clear as day, but ethereal, glowing, radiant. He never spoke, but would just stand there and look at me. I don't think he knew he was dead. He was frustrated and I sensed that he kept trying to communicate to me to help him. This lasted for several weeks. Everywhere I went, I would either see him or hear him breathing. Fricken creepy!!! It got to the point that I went to several priests to ask for advice and I am not a 'seek the priest' kind of guy. They were useless. I finally had a heart to heart with him. 'Time to move on' sort of thing. He stopped coming to me and has never been back. I'm very good friends with his best friend. I finally told him about this just a couple of years ago, which was about 15 years after his death. He was kind of pissed at me for never telling him this. Well, it's not something you just go and talk about! But, this is ATS after all, so there ya go!

Oh, and there was some very strange events that occurred to me when I was 14 and thought I would be cool and mess with black magic. That was fun times until my buddy and I were walking down a trail in the woods and we both saw three black hooded ghostly figures trailing us. Total and utter fear washed over us. We ran screaming to our mommies like a couple of frightened school girls, ha, ha. Needless to say. I never touched that stuff again and spent several years trying to make amends to God and Jesus. I think they still don't like me.

Boring life of mine! LOL. I could probably write a book.

I watched my son be born dead that was one of the strangest things I've seen. His mom was screaming and sobbing for her baby. The doctors took him to an oxygen tent crib which totally failed to turn on at all. They panicked flipped switches and looked dumb at each other. An old doctor walked in, looked around, pulled out his pocket knife and cut the oxygen supply line not far from the bottle and shoved that line right down my sons throat. He popped right to life like magic

Nearly 15 years ago my husband had a new partner join there medical group, and we quickly became good friends with him and his wife. They were Jewish and we were not. About a year later this couple had their first child , a boy. We received an invitation to his "Bris" (a jewish ceramony for circumcision) ! This takes place exactly 8 days after birth . This took place at their home with at least 100 people all celebrating like a bithday party or something! Then this man called a" Mohel "(complete stranger) dressed like a Rabbi shows up and procedes to circumcise this baby boy right there on the kitchen table! That whole thing disturbed me so deeply,
I know it is their tradition and all, but something seemed so wrong about to me! Anyway 3 years later we had our own son and after much research, we did not have him circumcised.

Never seen a flying saucer, aliens, or anything of that sort but I've seen all kinds of strange events occur. OK, th weirdest, how about floating bowling pins? In 1969 I had bowling pins levitating and floating for about 4 frames. Freaked the people bowling in the next lane right out. They quickly left. The lady asked me, very worried and concerned, "Does this always happen to you?" I told her not usually. I was thinking it an elaborate prank, was waiting for the guy with the hidden cameras to come out but he never showed. Pins went back to behaving normally and I continued on.

I was wondering who else experiences time-shifts during intense stressful moments, like everything going into slow-motion as the brain and reactions speed-up. Lasts for the duration of the event. I usually get it while playing sports or driving if an urgent situation arises. I thought this was normal but I usually get blank looks from people if I ask them about it. Some that have responded affirmatively describe it as sort of a blackout they don't remember and don't know how they got out of a jam, but did. Anyone?

The strangest thing? I have seen a lot of weird things in my lifetime, but I must say one of the more bizarre things was an argument/duel between my guardian and a spirit who claimed to be Satan himself coming to take a soul of someone. I do not think it was the devil, but it fed off of the people around who believed in such a thing. I do not know what it was, personally.

I remember the house he/she/it/whatever came from as well. It was always cold, even though the thermostats were over 80 degrees, it was always in the 50s in that house. The mirrors wouldn't look at me. And when I looked at them directly, they would literally fly off the wall and crash on the floor and I could hear the thing hiss. Talk about creepy.
No, this wasn't some parlor trick nor was the mirrors hung badly, they literally ripped out of the wall, taking whatever was holding them along with them. Several times over several days I might add.

Come to find out that the woman who lived there thought she would be smart and made a small Ouija board herself and used a silver coin, to which she spoke to this thing without a second person (I can do this myself, but I choose not to - even my guardian warns against such an act).

Obviously it was real and a real threat to me and others around me or my guardian would not have stood up to it. My guardian won that night, too. The creature who called himself/herself/itself/whateverself 'Satan' has never returned. I did not physically see this except for what happened when you bring two Ouija boards together when they request it and then argue (yes, they requested it). It ended with glasses shattering and mirror/pictures/candelabras falling off the walls.

As soon as it was gone, the house temperature/feeling returned to normal. So, if that was Satan himself, I ain't worried at all. He/it/she/whatever don't hold a candle to my guardian.

p.s. I have had experience with Ouija boards since I was 11 and I am over 30 now. I do know what I meddle with, I do know the hidden dangers in the so called 'game' and I do know that they can be used for not so good purposes. So yeah, anyone who tells me 'it's fake', or 'someone was moving the pointer' or 'It's just a game' obviously hasn't actually meddled with them.

I won't give my age but I have been around
a long time, lol. I will just briefly list a few
things that were weird or strange in my life.
1. I witnessed one UFO
2. My dead Uncle came to visit me at
my bedside.
3. I lived in a haunted flat (lots of stuff
happened there).
4. I was in on a Ouija board reading
when the board spelled out a persons
name in the room and then spelled
death. He was killed the next day by
cops that mistook him for someone else.
5. I have been thru 4 hurricanes
6. A tornado hit my house when I was a kid
I was the only one home.
7. I have witnessed a persons legs amputated
and an autopsy.
I know there are others but that should do for now.

No, that's not it. It is not a type of "un-reality" though perhaps a "super-reality" I was describing. In those moments when ultra-quick reaction time was needed it "switched-on" as if things were in slow-motion, except me. I was able to avert dangerous situations by reacting very quickly and measuredly in the two or three-second duration "time-shifts", regaining control of a car, performing a precision skill during a sporting event, etc. Not something I can elect to do at will but "turns-on" when needed. I guess the anwer to my inquiry is "no".

If you were speaking of the bowling pins then I might chock that up to some sort of derealization except that I was not the only one seeing this, but it was happening to me, on my lane. I no longer like to proclaim any very improbable occurrence as being "impossible."

I went diving one time off the calif coast and when i rinsed off in the fresh shower at the beach i went to my knees with the most intense pain over all my body i had ever felt.

It was like someone had poured molten lead over me.

Found out i had gotten into a type of plankton that would attach to your skin with tiny claws.
fresh water caused them to release and put out a chemical that cause a intense burning pain like some jellyfish.

The next day i bought a wet suit for my diving.

I have had many odd circumstances in my life....
I lived in a haunted house, and saw and experienced too many things to list. I had several ghost experiences before that in my youth, I guess you could say sometimes I saw dead people lol!
I had a dream my dog died, and I woke up and told my friend I was staying with....that evening my mom called to tell me that my dog had died, and the dream circumstance for its death had played out in reality. Several other dreams have come true, tho not all as dramatically as this one.
I have had several UFO sightings, and several ET situations.
However things in my life have been really oddly quiet of that nature for a few years now. Altho my daughter talks about the bug people she sees in her room all the time....told me last week they took mommy's beef stew out of her tummy (shudder)
I have experienced and voiced premonitions I have had, including of the coming death of an individual that came to pass within weeks. I am glad I told someone about that one, so it had verification. I also knew everytime my ex husband was fooling around, he couldn't get away with anything!

Oh and on a not so con
Honestly tho, I am a normal girl...mom, student, and most people would be surprised at my compiled list.

I had a lot of weird experiences myself. I'll just list them down.

1. When a kid, me and 3 others, encountered a being in full traditional attire and glowing red eyes. It was a he because of the beard. He turned looked at us, run towards the window and jump off in a quick jolt and dispersed in thin air.

Somewhat like one of the dancers in the pic, but there was something really odd about the behavior and yeah the glowing red eyes. Definitely, someone we've never seen around before.

2. Been in at least 3 or more near death experiences. Or was it 4, ahh never-mind

3. My late grandma visited me on numerous occasions when she passed.

4. Had another encounter with a shadow being, which amazingly left me with the ability to have OBE almost every night after the encounter. I basically freaked out, thinking it may have been a demon or so, and simply chased it off on my next encounter, and lost the ability as well, whatever that was.

Apart from this rather unusual experiences, I have the regular sleep paralysis every now and then.

The weirdest of them all was a more recent one. Of which I saw a men, in one my OBE, of which it occurred to me later as me in the future. This occurred when I started looking into the idea of 'Higher Self" and 'Parallel Universes'.

It was me alright, with my two lovely kids and wife, but older. I did not recognize until after the dream. Everything was so vivid that I could clearly recall the place and the face. It was one hell of an experience if you ask me.

Well that out of all was the one that left me in awe, at least I know how I'd look like in the near future..

Ironically, it sort of proved the parallel universe theory to me. The simultaneous existence of the past and the future, all in the present.

Peace...

I'm not sure what the strangest thing is that happened to me.
I'll list a few.

1. Dust devil formed around me while walking across a college campus. I was at the eye as it grew bigger and stayed centered around me as I walked towards my dorm building. It even stopped at my dorm. Then I walked through one wall and got dust and some debris in my face. It dissipated after that.

2. The wind or something opened the lobby door wide open for me as I walked through one windy night. It closed behind me. I played an arcade or pinball game in the lobby for 30 minutes. The door at most only swung open 2 feet the whole time due to the wind. I was watching out of the corner of my eye. Even stranger was that no one came in that lobby the whole time. I believe there was someone in the lobby who ran for it when he saw me coming and the door open up by itself. Now this by itself wasn't strange. When I left, the door swung all the way open and then closed behind me after I walked through. Then the lobby door in my dorm building opened up by itself as I was almost ready to touch it. It was like I had an invisible doorman. I hurried back to my dorm room after that feeling a bit spooked. Even more amazing was that with over two to four thousand people living in those dorms, I saw no one in those lobbies except that one guy who ran for it for those 30 minutes.

3. I've experienced things moving in slow motion while I can still think and move fast after drinking a few beers on a few occasions. I know I'm not imagining the effect because I blew away all the high scores on arcade machines and it seemed super easy with everything moving a whole lot slower. I was wondering if I'm really stuck in a higher speed and the beer just makes me less inhibited or less blocked, up to a certain point that is. If I drank one or two beers too many, the effect dissipated fast. I don't know if I could still repeat the effect since there are usually no decent arcade games around when I drink. I did read a study indicated alcohol can stimulate the mind in the short term.

4. I've felt something in my house on many occasions. Some might call it a ghost. I don't know what or who it is.

5. Mother nature seems to go berserk when I go on vacation to different destinations on many occasions. I've experienced record cold in Hawaii, a cold rainy day in the 50's in southern Florida in July, even the meteorologists called it a freak storm, floods at the NC outer banks, and seen many floods and tornado damage first hand.

6. I woke up one night and saw a figure I call Death coming towards me from out of the sky. I could not see out of my house and was in bed. A real tornado came down over our house in the same direction that I saw Death coming. It took out some large pine trees and all the branches over our house. Our house was spared. Not a single shingle was even ripped off.

7. I saw a cloud being escorted by 5 or 6 dark helicopters just above the tree tops one afternoon. I was exposed to the rain coming out of this cloud but they were all gone after a few seconds so I didn't get too wet.

8. One of my relatives claims to have seen Satan watching our family, not happily I might add, when I was younger. This made me wonder if insanity runs in the family. It didn't help when she said she spotted Satan sitting in our den many years later. Maybe Satan likes the same tv programs I was watching. I did not see anything.

9. I was once at the center of a supercell cluster of superpowerful tornadoes. I did not realize it at the time. However the lightning outside was so intense for so long it stopped blinking. It was just super bright outside with no detectable flashes of light. It was like several times brighter than daytime. It stayed like this for a few minutes. I made the mistake of looking out the window behind the shade and was temporarily blinded by the light. My vision came back after a few minutes.

I'll stop there.

Ok, one more after remembering what I already read in this thread. I heard recently that I was born blue.

There have been a few strange occurrences in my life some of the more mundane are actually more scary then those occurrences. If you haven't heard this sound before let me tell you what it will send chills up your spine the first time you hear it. It was late at night and we lived in a place deep in the mountains on what used to be an old game trail. One night had a hard time falling asleep and all of a sudden this piercing screech like that of a woman in pain came through my window. I freaked out jumped out of bed and grabbed the biggest thing I could find, a toy gun incidentally. Anyways it came again and I swear almost pooped my pants right there, granted I was eight years old so it was a high possibility. Finally after a few minutes of hearing nothing fell asleep in my bed with the toy gun by my side. In the morning me and my dad went out and there was a bunch of paw prints right off of our deck. I asked him what they were and he said Cougar most likely. Even though that is so mundane at the time it freaked me out beyond belief and won't forget that sound ever.

When I was a kid I saw Santa Clause.

Also when I was a kid I, my parents and brothers, the whole street, and most of the town I lived in saw a U.F.O. flying over one night. I was about 6 and I still remember it vividly. I've searched for years for information on it but have come up empty. I remember my oldest brother turned on his transistor radio to the local station and the DJ was asking every one to stop calling in because he didn't know what it was and they were tying up the phone lines.

When I was 15 I had a premonition of a family friend's death. I saw his name in the obituary (I was going through a phase where I read the obits every day...kids, go figure) on a Tuesday. He died the next day, Wednesday. On Thursday my mom told me about it and I told her that I knew, and that I saw the obit on Tuesday. She looked at me really strangely and said, "He just died yesterday." I went back and looked at Tuesday's newspaper (for some reason my mom hoarded newspapers for a week at a time) and the obit wasn't there. It appeared in Friday's newspaper.

There have been other stuff, like my haunted television, other premonitions, voices, but those three stand out because they've been so vivid for so long.

I have a few.

I have had many odd dreams, but I will keep that for another thread.

Regarding ghosts.

One day, I was at a friend of mines house, having a few drinks in the backyard. She started going on about how she had a spirit guide and a bunch of other stuff I considered non-sense. Then she started telling me about how I shouldn't poke fun while she was trying to contact her spirit guide. She then proceeded to tell me about how many lives I have lived through, at this point I started mocking what I thought my own spirit guide might sound like and his story. As I'm sitting there saying ghosts don't exist and laughing with another friend, we heard a loud crash come from inside the house, in the kitchen.

We all stopped and just stared at each other.

Upon examination we discovered the entire light fixture fell from the ceiling.
No body was in the house, the light was on.
could have been anything but very creepy none the less.

Since then, I have not made fun of people who believe in ghosts.

Another odd thing.

I remember one day, I brought up to a friend how crazy steve irwin was, he then replied.
"Dude, isn't he dead?"
In reaction I searched up his website and wiki and even searched "steve irwin dead" nothing official.
2 days later he died.
