Will you eat your family?

As things tighten up, no shelter becomes available, your family will need food

What are you going to do?

Where will they go?

How long will you be able to feed them?

Do you make a sacrifice for your family? Do you kill your own family to feed the other members

If you do you will be like 'them'. They want to you sacrifice life. It feeds the (demons), so to speak

if there is no food... and they are "freshly" dead... then yes i will salvage any meat... dry it and use everything else i can for bait to hunt with.

No. I would prolly eat someone elses family. Hope it would never come to that.

One would have to be pretty desperate to even think of eating another human being, even if that person was already dead through no fault of your own; but to contemplate sacrificing one member of your family to feed the others is beyond abominable.

To answer your question directly, I'd rather starve to death before I sacrificed and ate a member of my family.

I get the pets question but really? Cannabilism is one thing (that I'm pretty sure I'm against, we've seen The Road, yes?) But really? If you're considering eating your husband/wife, brothers/sisters, or children...well you ought to hop off a cliff and do what you can for the continuation of humanity...

(Man adds: Will you eat yourself?) Personally I recommend dirt or grass prior to all of the above....

I don't believe there could be a point where I could justify eating my loved ones. One needs to stay strong in times of desperation and for me, having the people I love around me is more important than starving.

I also don't believe I could be in a position where I couldn't obtain any sort of food. So much vegetation is available that has some nutritious value, assuming your only scavenging what's wild and not growing your own. Patience, a gun, and ammunition can catch you most protein you need. If no gun, it's fairly simple to make a makeshift bow and arrow. And if you still can't figure that out, making traps is simple as well.

As for where I would go, I would stay right here in my house in the middle of the woods. Everything I need and want. Not being hooked up to a city water supply helps a lot too.

The biggest problem would be getting away from the thought that we need 3 solid, balanced meals a day. Yes, it's nice to have for a sustained healthy life, but when we're thinking of survival, just getting your necessary nutrients and keeping hunger pains at bay would be the plan for me.

I will likely eat other families... depending on where they have been, they should have different distinct flavors.



I wouldn't eat my family though... your family, possibly... my family, never!

In any SHTF situation, morality becomes an issue.
What values, principles, morals are you willing to give up, in order to survive?

Situations that lead to options given by the OP make death preferable over surviving.

Some things are just unanswerable until the time actually comes. I mean really, you are basing knowledge off of internet replies. And what knowledge is there in a question like this? I mean if someone on here says that they would eat their family, what does that do to help us any? I just don't understand what this is all about.
