that is your opinion

my opinion is based on:

I have no pets,

I was thinking about getting a new dog though after my last dog died.

So ink blot removed for your sake.

Which opinion are you referring to?

You're injecting sacrifice into an apocalyptic scenario. I'm asking what kind of sacrifice you mean - a religious sacrifice where you offer something to a religious figure for their favor or a sacrifice that is letting go of or surrendering something for something else?

The PTB want you to kill things. Ideally in their world , this involves a common belief that making killings assist in the betterment of their cause.

The sacrifice I speak of is how they see it.

How you see it , is up to you.

I do not have a pet, so it does not effect me.

Unless someone tries to sell me cat meat instead of prawns and then I would be upset.

Are you in tune ?

I see. You're speaking of a religious sacrifice to TPTB. Some of you owe Onewhoknowsjesus an apology.

-----

In such a scenario, I would say very few would sacrifice their pets. Especially a sacrifice to TPTB. As you can see from the replies of others, any pets killed wouldn't be a sacrifice at all. They would kill and eat them or kill them to save them from suffering starvation.

Personally, in an apocalyptic scenario, I would eat them or set them free. Once free they can fend for themselves or be meat, for eating, for anyone who would want to hunt them. I definitely wouldn't sacrifice them to TPTB.

you miss the point , again,

it is a pure sacrifice,

the person doing the sacrifice does not know, is not aware they are doing it.

so you need to re think your strategy

Define pure sacrifice. Does that mean acceptable? If so, who is it accepted by?
I do not practice ritualistic sacrifice, nor will I ever.

If you were smart enough and had the wherewithal to plan ahead, you'll never be put into a position to choose.

where innocents are lead to believe they have no choice. Where they act on what they think is right, falling into a trap to facilitate and end result

the end result is people killing their own pets, without knowing they are making a sacrifice to a negative spirit( demon) or whatever...

I think for it to be a sacrifice, as you have described, the killings of said pets would need to be knowingly killed in the name of ,or for, any said demon. Furthermore, I don't think there would be a rise of ritualistic sacrifice in the scenario you've given - very few if any.

Dude, your other post is "will you eat your family" also using the word sacrifice.
If these things are truly on your mind, you need a healthy dose of light.

"A very wise book declares that man is the image of the Word, and that the Word itself once became a man."

"Who rise from the flesh to spirit know the fall: The word outleaps the world and light is all." Theodore Roethke

For it to be a ritualistic sacrifice, as you have described, it has to be knowingly done in the name of, or for, said religious figure. Most often, the killing is to be offered to them.

Someone killing for edible meat or to keep the animal from suffering doesn't fit the term you're trying to make it fit.

IE: A deer hunter killing and offering the meat of the deer to his family is not a sacrifice.

I would sacrifice my pets without a seconds doubt in my mind. I love them, but they aren't my children nor are they my parents. It would tear my heart into pieces, but what choice do I have? Save my human family or save a pet?

My cat catches and kills birds. I will use him as a tool

Nope, I would never give up my dog. I cook dinner for myself and by the time I'm done cooking, he ends up eating it. We both get half plates in anything I make.

Well after the other comments i think i understand your question.

I have an will always have pets, domestic and wild.

I would never believe it needed to sacrifice them to feed what i am, in anway.

No matter how i look at it since i view each one as a person, i would be murdering someone i know for self proffit.

My cat taught me to hunt, my dogs taught me to track and play.

If the shtf eat earth worms, they are everywhere water is and a great simple protien, the animals like it too.

Thier is always another option to sacrifice it just takes sacrifice lol

i have a pet rabbit, and have given this some thought.

i always keep enough food to feed her for months.

but if earthquake, solar flair, or other major disaster hit and our civilization was doomed, i have a plan.

on the western side of our town, for as many decades as anyone remembers, a colony of escaped rabbits have made it on their own.

i would walk the miles and release her, a chance she might survive with the other rabbits is better than no chance at all.

and i would do serious damage to any useless human that wanted to do her harm.

people created this insane world we live in, this is a beautyful planet and a wonderful place.

animals already suffer too much due to human insanity.

Cats are'nt loyal.....they'll go to anyone who feeds them so I'd let the cat loose. As for our little dog, there's plenty of wild rabbits around I could hunt to feed her and I always have enough dried dog food for a year.
