FEMA to do first ever nationwide emergency alert system test on Nov.9...11/9/11

I flicked it to channel 2 wgrz and nada. Neither on channel 7 brief on channel 4. I should have tried the high def stations but was preoccupied by neighbors fighting.

EAS Test was a big FAIL here in Ohio on Dish Network.

I was watching Comedy Central and a message on a black ticker came across the screen that stated the test would start at 2:00 pm EST... That you may be redirected to another channel but please change back to Comedy Central after the test ends… The clock struck 2:00pm….Nothing happened. So I flipped through the other channels…. Nothing still. I ended finding one channel. It had a blue screen that said.

This Only A Test.

With a ticker across the top that said how long the test would last and the sounding of the tones. It said nothing about it being an EAS Test. So…I checked more channels and no test.

All I have to say about it is, had this been a real emergency I would more than likely be dead now or at the very least uninformed about what was happening.
