I didn't realize a group's size played a role in its competency. I would argue that most governmental agencies are over-sized bloated agencies filled with mismanagement which are in desperate need of downsizing.

Of-course 9/11 was an inside job. I can only hope that you were being sarcastic.

Even if you do buy into the fable that is the official story (which makes me wonder why you are on these forums), where was the involvement of "Afghani rebels" in the production? The alleged hijackers were Saudis...

EVERY alleged terrorist organization/leader without exception, from Osama to Saddam, has been a puppet of Western Intelligence or directly supported by Western governments. The ISI seems to be no exception. According to your source:

The Directorate for Inter-Services Intelligence [ISI] was founded in 1948 by a British army officer, Maj Gen R Cawthome, then Deputy Chief of Staff in the Pakistan Army.

I'm sure its not the least bit coincidental that the ISI was formed by the British just as they were being expelled from both India and Pakistan after 200 years of occupation.

Because someone sees through this obvious fake "war on terror" (as most on ATS do), you believe that they are a dubious undercover agent... I have no response.

I could get so negative on this. If you have a loved one who is invading another country - these are all volunteers - tell them to come back home.

Missed this thread somehow, and posted this elsewhere...oops. But considering that there were our "Partners" the Afgan Commandos with them, it would not surprise me that the raid was leaked out so there was a welcoming committee waiting for them along the flight path or on the DZ itself.

We have wasted to many lives and entirely too much money trying to "Nation-build". It hasn't worked since the end of WW2.

In WW2 we went to war with the goal of unconditional surrender, and got it. At that point, we then begin to help in the rebuilding efforts. How anyone thinks we can do the two things at once is beyond me.

It is my belief, that during these so called "talks", we should be linking up the former Northern Alliance with energy, mining and pharmaceutical companies, leave them the HUMMV's and refurbished equipment and let them know that we will back them when needed as long as they keep the Taliban in check and the drug trafficking down. Hell, toss in bonuses for every ISI agent they catch or kill.

If they renege on the agreement, then we bomb them until nothing stands, and not go back to rebuild.

They'll still be a backwater tribal country, but they'll be a "friendly" backwater tribal country.

Not a good day! How can scores of special forces get shot down. Think about all the money spent on these soldiers for their highly specialized training, and to go along with the massive loss of life. How come this helicopter did not have some form of escort? Why was this transport helicopter flying alone through rugged terrain and dangerous territory? This is not common, and before anyone says it is they are wrong.

They don't call them the silent professionals for nothing. Moreover, special care and planning is taken before an operation is carried out. There must have been a serious operational flaw in planning, or as some have said information might have been leaked? These soldiers are not your average grunts or infantrymen, but the best of best. This is a serious black-eye for the special ops community and the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). This is probably the worse loss for special forces since Operation Eagle Claw?

Is is it me, or is the war steadily heating up over there? Furthermore, what is the mission? That is something that has been allusive since this whole thing began. Ten years, trillions of dollars spent, bodies stacking up for all involved, and we still have no clear path or direction? I hope we get some answers about this one, because this is a very uncommon occurrence regarding the special forces. Sure they get killed in action, but not like this.

I'm almost completely desensitized to these stories. Whether it be troops or the innocent people of Afghanistan its just another story at this point. Remind me again why this police action is ongoing ? It will never be won

this was part of the retaliation by the resistance or freedom fighters .
whilst i don,t condone any persons death , this is the price that is paid in war .

what i don,t understand here , is why all 30 of the troops were travelling in one aircraft ,
surely it makes sense to use more than one and split the risk of this very same kind of attack .

the officers that planed this operation should be courtmartialed for stupidity .

And now just released that 20 or more of the casualties were the very same group involved with the Bin Ladan raid. But I am sure it just a coincidence right. Or someone covering their tracks as dead people dont really talk much.

more than 20 Navy SEALs from the unit that killed Osama bin Laden were among those lost in a helicopter crash

No one but me finds this suspicious?

I must have been on this forum to long.

Add me as suspicious. Can't afford for Team 6 to possibly spill the beans on what really "didn't" happen that one night in May
Or maybe its just a propaganda attempt to get Americans outraged because their idolized Team 6 has been killed by the evil cloth headed men of the middle east.

Such an obvious cover up attempt. 20+ members means nearly all of the SEALS involved in the purported raid on Bin Laden. My guess is all of those SEALS who participated in the raid are dead. I am sure the government will claim a couple are still alive, and they will be heroes who can tell the story of how they got Bin Laden years from now. Unfortunately, I predict those purported "survivors" are really just government plants who will pose as SEALS in order to cause people to "buy" the story and further the conspiracy. IMO anyone still alive from that raid never participated in it, they are only actors claiming they did in order that people don't get suspicious. And, we will never be able to prove otherwise b/c the secrecy of the SEAL raid ensures we will never know who, and how many, actually were there that night.

Either way, Bin Laden has been dead for years. It's a shame these patriotic troops had to die in order to further the Bin Laden conspiracy.... This could have been avoided if the fake raid on Bin Laden wouldn't have been ordered in the first place by Prez O. Bhutto was the first to point out the conspiracy, and look how it ended for her....

Actually they can fly up to 200 miles per hour...
This is from memory. I served 4 years in Special Forces, as a radio operator/morse code back in the late 70's/early 80's. I spent many hours on Chinooks, and in their day, they were something else...

How or WHY would intelligience be leaked THIS fast they where all the SAME Seals that killed bin Laden?

Who fricking knew it was THOSE guys and released it to the press.

Chinese,Russian,Iranianian intelligience?

Or just Afghanistan intelligience?

Or U.S. Why would that come out SO fast? Seriously

The U.S. is getting it's ass kicked worldwide on so many levels right now.

I'm pretty sure we ticked off a LOT of people after we got Bin laden and danced in the streets like "So THERE"

No class at all.

Yea, this information was released very quickly.....too quickly. Reminds me of Norway where major U.S. news channels were screaming "Muslim Extremist!" before the story was an hour old.

news.yahoo.com...

Yahoo also has the little tidbit about it being the same Seals that took out Osama.

As soon as I read that alarms were going off in my head and I came here to see if anyone else picked up on it yet.

To me its all very very very obvious. Painfully so.

What are the odds that MAJORITY of the SEAL TEAM 6 were on that vehicle?! I hate to say it but it sounds like someone was covering their tracks with the whole killing of OBL... I wouldnt put it past our government to do such a thing.

does any one here see the similarity .
helicopter carrying 12 M I 5 agents crashes in northern ireland around the time that the peace talks were underway .

helicopter carrying the special forces that were involved in the ben laden strike shot down .

so the people that had inside sensitive information have been silenced .
