You called an entire Chinese society/culture sick based on a practice you don't even understand because of facts that are unclear to even yourself. If you even bothered to do any research on a society that you've already decided was 'sick' you would know that unprotected sex is very 'popular' in China as men feel that the women is responsible and can get abortions as a form of birth control, there isn't a mad frenzy in China for women to get pregnant, abort the baby and get paid before the weekend so they can party and hope some random guys knock them up.

The underlined statement in the above quote is enough of an insult to disqualify your opinions and name-calling summarily. It takes two people to create a baby. TWO people. Women in China are devalued (I suppose you'd call them all ignorant), and the men take no responsibility for it?

According to sociologist Allan G. Johnson, "misogyny is a cultural attitude of hatred for females because they are female." Johnson argues that:
"[Misogyny] is a central part of sexist prejudice and ideology and, as such, is an important basis for the oppression of females in male-dominated societies. Misogyny is manifested in many different ways, from jokes to pornography to violence to the self-contempt women may be taught to feel for their own bodies."[1]

The Chinese culture is a healthy one? Excuse me?

According to Peter Stockland, "Years of population engineering, including virtual extermination of 'surplus' baby girls, has created a nightmarish imbalance in China's male and female populations." (Stockland, "China's baby-slaughter overlooked," The Calgary Sun, June 11, 1997.) In 1999, Jonathan Manthorpe reported a study by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, claiming that "the imbalance between the sexes is now so distorted that there are 111 million men in China -- more than three times the population of Canada -- who will not be able to find a wife." As a result, the kidnapping and slave-trading of women has increased: "Since 1990, say official Chinese figures, 64,000 women -- 8,000 a year on average -- have been rescued by authorities from forced 'marriages'. The number who have not been saved can only be guessed at. ... The thirst for women is so acute that the slave trader gangs are even reaching outside China to find merchandise. There are regular reports of women being abducted in such places as northern Vietnam to feed the demand in China." (Jonathan Manthorpe, "China battles slave trading in women: Female infanticide fuels a brisk trade in wives," The Vancouver Sun, January 11, 1999.)
www.gendercide.org...

Even if they aren't eating them, how do you justify "unprotected sex" and the "oh well, she can get an abortion" mentality as healthy?! Or, just put them in an "orphanage" and let them die.

In all cases, specifically female infanticide reflects the low status accorded to women in most parts of the world; it is arguably the most brutal and destructive manifestation of the anti-female bias that pervades "patriarchal" societies. It is closely linked to the phenomena of sex-selective abortion, which targets female fetuses almost exclusively, and neglect of girl children.
www.gendercide.org...

You are correct, I do not understand the practice of killing and neglecting girl children, and I call it sick. It is sick.

in September 1997, the World Health Organization's Regional Committee for the Western Pacific issued a report claiming that "more than 50 million women were estimated to be 'missing' in China because of the institutionalized killing and neglect of girls due to Beijing's population control program that limits parents to one child." (See Joseph Farah, "Cover-up of China's gender-cide", Western Journalism Center/FreeRepublic, September 29, 1997.) Farah referred to the gendercide as "the biggest single holocaust in human history."

same source as the above.

Dr. Warren Lee, president of the Hong Kong Nutrition Association, is aware of the unsavory rumours. 'Eating foetuses is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine and is deeply founded in Chinese folklore. In terms of nutrition, a foetus would be a good source of protein and fats, and there are minerals in bone. But I don't know if eating foetuses is just folklore or more than that,' he says.
www.heretical.com...

Yup, I see on snopes they are claiming this is false. Or is it just more disinformation?
How do you know?

And even if you could explain the "traditional practice" in objective terms without being rude and insulting (which I highly doubt), I would still think it's sick.

Hope to never cross paths with you again.

lol, I can't believe you looked up all that information for a point I never even supported and then attempted to discredit me with that same argument. Why must you paint me in a light where I support the belittling of women when I very obviously did not? I was simply explaining WHY abortion was rampant in China, if you can't understand context, why are you on ATS? You made up stories in the sources provided to support your argument and got called out.

Like I said you are delusional and ignorant, I still stick by it as I've called you out on it already (now twice). You disregard all of my valid arguments to your original claims and you make up new arguments to when you know you've lost.

This is just silly....silly!

I would postulate here that there is indeed a positive supply of stillborn or aborted babies available in China, considering that they only allow one child per family (two in some areas).

I've read far worse than this, though. I have heard from some sources that some Chinese are cooking and eating these fresh stillborn children. I would suppose that this pill form is their way of doing it more discreetly, but it is what it is.

Cannibalism.

Actually, that's an artist's idea of "art." It made media headlines, yeah, but he's just an artist.

I just hope the Seoul Times photos are not real.

I'm not suprised. They eat babies boiled and made into soup. Rural China as far as pics I've seen in the past.

I am not surprised if the Chinese would go that far and make money out of the DEAD (babies)! Ironically, the LIVING believe DEAD matter is supposed to prolong life or restore/rejuvenate youth. Clearly, China needs to go out of business (as usual) for both animal AND human right's violations!

On one hand, I'm shocked, but on the other, I'm not. Human depravity knows no bounds. If someone can make a buck off the suffering of another, they will. If someone can make a buck off one of our species' strongest taboos, they will.

Do you honestly think China gives a single solitary F about human rights?

Don't make me laugh too hard.

That's BS, it was ONE "artist" doing it as a stunt, just like worthless "artist's" here in the USA do. These idiots call ANYTHING art. To me, art is something where, when you look at it, you don't have to ask, "is this art?"

Your ignorance really MUST be bliss.
