How do your family and friends feel about your ATS habits?

An interesting question to ask indeed. Do your kids stare at you while you try to post about the NWO? Does your best friend call you a looney? I'm sure we all have some intersting stories about what others do when they see us using our favorite conspiracy discussion board.... be sure to post em here!

Wife and oldest child are members, no worries there.

My wife was worried, when I first started. She said I need to do something constructive. Now She has no worries. She only worries when we go out with friends. We will start talking about something, it always goes off the deep end. People are not tring to hear what I have to say.

My family really did'nt care as much, only when they saw the topics about all the mass conspiracies.

But my friends all think I'm crazier now since I've joined ATS, I've become more of a crazed evil paranoid conservative bastard than before . I had one of them join and he stayed for a long time, but his computer got messed up and he won't delete his cookies, and he can't log in. Another friend, well he's not a friend anymore,joined and was banned in under 5 minutes. Then a third joined and was nearly banned by Zion for flaming,and trolling.

When i first started my boyfriend thought it was abit strange- then he started to read posts on mine and so he decided to join.
None of my friends think its strange- one of my friends decided to join aswell lol.

i go on ATS alot at school and my friends say ''oh, your on that site again are you'' pretending not to take an interest, ....funny they always look over my shoulder to read whats on the screen

my family think it's great that i use the web meaningfully, going on ATS has changed how i view the world

My friends think im a nut case...thats why they love me

My past girlfriends that I was #in crazy and wasnt allowed to use the internet at there houses...

My online friends are okay with it...and helped me understand it more.

My Dad doesnt know and wouldnt give a flying #.

My Mom is glad that im doing something good online when Im pining away in my room.

My grandma shunned me for beleiving what I do about 9/11 and what i learned about it and researched here...last thing she said to me a few weeks before she died was "how can you belive that stupid #...leave me alone"

My grandpa is just like me. He used to come on here for a while...hed read with me and he was a member too....jsut cant remember what it was. Now hes in a Coma....just cuz its him and im cheerful i think it was the Government!

My 2 other grandma and grandpas dont know bout me and ATS...hell, they barely know about me.

The wife is super jealous and therefore super-suspicious. She's heard so many stories about online relationships, she's afraid of what I was doing at first. Since I was asked to mod, things have chilled. I don't discuss things with her pertaining to that but she's really into the paranormal and sort of uses me as a reference point. I think she may have surfed it a few times to make sure it was what it was. My parents aren't computer savy at all. They fear it and they fear what I'm a part of but they have no clue I am as involved as this. My son is only 7 so he wouldn't understand it or it would give him nightmares if he did. No one at work knows and I clean up behind me everyday.

My husband hates me being on here, he thinks your all wack jobs, and he thinks I get weird ideas and theories in my head... OBVIOUSLY it's a conspiracy site lol..

I'm getting better though I try to hit the site maybe 2-3 times a week only for an hour or so...

This site really keeps my mind open to many possibilities, maybe he should take a hint.. He's a republican and just as brainwashed as the lefties are...

I guess you would need an open mind to come here many people on here put others down for being out there or who think outside of the box, thats what he is, which is why I don't even bother trying to get him on here... But he does lurk.
I think just to make sure i'm not going too radical on him... lol

well the husband only gets jealous if there isn't a game or something sports related to keep his attention, other friends and relatives lurk, think i'm crazy and that the fbi, cia, nsa, whomever is all tracking me the kids don't mind unless i'm using the downstairs pc when they want it and they like checking out the avatars of everyone.

My husband thinks I have been brainwash and that the men in black are going to come after me.

My children think I am crazy and that I don't give them attention anymore.

One of my friends first exposure to ATS was a thread, I believe it was in the predictions forum a while back, about how reptillians lived under the earth and the aliens were all the world leaders... he just laughed and thought it was a humor forum.

I just said... uh.. yeah... and quickly closed the window.

Uh oh, I bought and wear an ATS T-shirt!

When I got that shirt my wife decided that I had gone completely over the edge. She is generally tolerant of the time I spend on ATS/BTS, but remains convinced that I am going to stumble across something that will bring the feds into our house. Telling her that they would have to be really bored to work their way down to my place on "the list" doesn't help.

There is also a "special" look that she shoot my direction me whenever I suggest that she sign up.

At first I kept ATS a secret from everyone. But after a while everyone found out and they were like "WTF are you doing wasting your time talking to all those crazy people?"

I basically ignored them. Besides not all of us are crazy.

I hear there is even a loony on this board that has a vampire as their avatar... are they some kind of death cult or something?

Of course I do..... I do have a social life... college, lots of friends, wonderful girlfriend. Unlike some people here I actually don't live on ATS.
