I think the only reason it isn't totally tanking this early is because of bargain shopping. I expect that by the afternoon we'll have a pretty bad slide.

Maybe that's just me. I'm no finance guy. I'm an imaginary rabbit.

Cant say I disagree there. Id give it 2-3 more hours to see some major losses, unless if something unexpected happens and they jolt back up.

ETA - Article about Europe that came out a minute ago.

European stocks slide as global selloff continues

LONDON (MarketWatch) — European stock markets dropped sharply in a volatile session Friday, extending a global selloff, though stronger-than-expected U.S. jobs data helped shares trade above their session lows.

All this fear mongering is keeping people distracted from what really happened.

Beyond QE which is pure socialism, look at whats going on.

How come there are not entire threads posted about the $16 Trillion the Federal Reserve gave to Banks/Companies all over the world? No MSM outlets are covering this...

I don't see how a complete crash is bad, if anything it's exactly what this world needs to bring people together without those elitist parasites in our faces. We don't need them, but they need us.

I'm going to have to throw the Off Topic flag for that one.

Sorry.

I know it happened, but this thread isn't some kind of fear mongering tactic to hide that fact.

Eh...That's a lot of "ra-ra" rhetoric.

If major businesses lose enough capitol to not be able to operate, where are you going to work?

I know our currency is a scam and all that, but it's what we use, right?

A total crash means you're going to be clawing someone's eyes out over the last can of dog food. Where's the world peace there?

Homelessness in way up in the United States now and cities are trying to figure out what to do about it. Real unemployment is now at about 40% of the country with about 38% of the country on food stamps. Blacks, encouraged by a president that does nothing but stick up for blacks, are now rampaging in the north of the country in a mob mentality.

Thousands of people in pockets of the country have been stocking up on weapons, ammunition and food since Obama took over the government 3 years ago and started issuing decrees like Hugo Chavez does in Venezuela as well as passing laws such as health care that can not possibly be funded.

The Obama Administration is now known to have been running guns to Mexican drug cartels that have killed some 3000 Mexicans, and have allowed tons of coc aine to go into the US.

See: www.elpasotimes.com...

It appears that the president, supposedly born in Hawaii but with a forged Birth Certificate(s) floating around also has a fraudulent Connecticut social security number. Law and order is breaking down rapidly in pockets of the country which could eventually make Libya, Iraq and Syria look like a walk in the park if it really breaks down much further. We could easily be in a civil war in America within 8-16 months unless law and order is restored, America starts acting responsibly, and constitutional government respected which is not happening from the current White House.

Va. Beach ponders approving homeless 'tent city'

VIRGINIA BEACH

City staff are exploring authorizing a "tent city," a move that would make the Beach the first community in the state to sanction a homeless encampment - if the City Council approves the idea.

Here is another story of black teenagers rampaging in the North of the country. It is going on in Chicago (that has 56% unemployment since Obama took office), and it is going on in Wisconsin and other places. There has been about a dozen cases of this type of mob behaviour over the past year. The mobs have been ransacking stores, restaurants, public transportation, etc.

The elections of Obama were marred by Black Panthers carrying clubs at polling booths, and not only will the Obama "Justice Dept" not prosecute them, but the UN will not say anything about polling irregularities in the US which creates an environment that produces further racial divides in the US.

On topic.
I have been watching the tsx and I had a little hope for when it opened this morning.
I was wrong.
I knew the DOW was going to start tanking almost right away.
