Maybe you should re-read the article;

“I did so after consulting prominent legal counsel regarding the transaction, and based on my understanding that the contribution would comply with applicable laws,’’ he told Politico in a statement last night."

Why should he be blamed for following the law?

Lawyers found a way around torture laws too and managed to coin a new term "enhanced interrogation". Doesn't change the end result though.

The last Pope is currently presiding over the Holy See.

The last President of the United States is currently presiding over the US.

Romney might as well scam as much money as he can from whatever sucker will give it to him so he can funnel it out of the country like everyone else.

If you have the money to set up a company and donate a million dollars.

Then you have the money to have an attorney make sure it is legal.

And that is exactly what the donor did.

Of course it is irrelevant to you, it blows your whole "it's within the law" nonsense out the window.

And that is exactly what the donor did.

I see it makes sense now, as long as someone has money to throw to exploit some loophole in order to make something clearly illegal - legal then you are fine with it regardless whether the whole point of it being illegal gets rendered "irrelevant" in the process. You would make a fine defense lawyer .
