For those who are older and sad for things cherished but lost, one day because of Gods love and grace will be experienced again...we all know with faith ,,,this will be true.
Through the cootamundra wattle.
Through your God of Love and Grace.

I've just added this song to another thread about music that stops you in your tracks. I'll put it here too 'cos it's definitely a weepie.

Used in the movie The Classic, this is the scene where the song starts.
sniff!

Twofold; her tragic passing (gone too soon) and her beautiful, expressive vocals and style

Gunslinger - Avenged Sevenfold
(I had a boyfriend in Afghanistan. I listened to this song on repeat when his bunkmate told me he died....
[he didn't actually die though, It was just a scare]
the boys thought it was "HILARIOUS" after I told him what his bunkmate had told me. yeah, I'll show you hilarious
...)

Fiction - Avenged Sevenfold (The Rev)
the band's drummer wrote this song and handed it in to the guys three days before he died of a drug overdose. [I've always suspected suicide unfortunately, and this song kind of confirms my theory]
they use clips of his voice while he was recording the song in his garage and put it in their CD that came out 6 months later. It was such an amazing gift to be able to hear his voice in a new song his death.
the lyrics are gorgeous, I love the piano, and it made me freaking cry my eyes out xD.

(my personal favorite, I had a wicked fangirl crush on him. he wrote the best songs, had an AMAZINGLY unique voice, extremely talented drummer, and he had a wicked twisted mind. died on my birthday

Not added to my earlier posts for awhile, but I thought of this thread last night when this came on.....kinda sums up an earlier relationship I had and screwed up and therefore brings tears to my eyes....I think a lot of people can relate to this song, its basically saying that they had the right person right in front of them but instead of being happy they wanted the single life and to get up to what they wanted...those lyrics combined with the slow melodic music makes it a classic tearjerker!!

SELECTED LYRICS :
I get lost in the night so high don't wanna come down
To face the loss of the good thing that I have found

In the dark of the night I can hear you calling my name
With the hardest of hearts, I still feel full of pain
So I drink and I smoke and I ask you if your ever around
even though it was me who drove us right into the ground
See the time we shared it was precious to me
But all the while I was dreaming of revelry

Just know it was you all along that had a hold of my heart
But the demon in me was a best friend from the start

What a great idea for a thread! Sometimes we just need a good excuse to let open the floodgates!

Here's one that always gets to me.
