Just keep in mind that historically speaking, when conditions are bad and there is no welfare, warfare soon follows.

And the ones on the sharp end of the stick are usually the ones who smugly demanded others go starve quietly in that dark corner over there. When the dark corner gets overcrowded, the starving boil out and take what they need.

Anyone who subverts the process should be punished for doing so..Congress, all of them.

Giving personhood to corporations gave some folks (boards, ceos, other execs) multiple votes, since each corporation is a seperate "person", but run by the same people. Pretty much any CEO sits on several boards, and most boardmembers are execs of different companies.

Always wondered how anyone had the capacity and the time to run multiple companies simultaneously to the point of actually earning the astronomical salaries they give themselves, all while "serving" on several different boards with handsome salaries and perks from them, too.

Guys like the Koch brothers get to vote multiple times, and then want to con people out of exercising their one single vote.

Personally, I find their behavior has become nothing short of treason.

What is hated are the people who run those businesses who choose to pollute, cheat, steal, bribe, and generally wreck the place for everyone but themselves.

Business, like capitalism, is ok per se.

It is the jerks who don't know when to say when, I have enough, I'll leave some for my fellow citizens that are despised and hated for being the selfish, greedy traitors they are.

What's wrong with being one of many good companies serving different flavors?

The compulsion to grow for the sake of growing, to get bigger just because is a sickness.

The person who founds a great company, serves the local market, employs the local people at a livable wage in a safe work environment, participates fuly in the local economy and has only two homes (residence and vacation) and chooses to stop there and not drive his/her competitors out of business or try to absorb them, most certainly IS NOT mediocre.

He or she is a mature, rational, and disciplined person who is a resounding success.

Bigger isn't usually better.
