You can see anything on your SD card at anytime on a Android. So there is nothing stopping you from deleting the files, also you can turn off wifi whenever you want.

Obviously if your conversations are being stored directly on your card you're gonna know.. Unless you're oblivious then my guess is you shouldn't even have an Android to begin with.
