Didn't know if it was true or not...had heard it a few times and was wondering.

To clarify though, Sanders wanted the 14th amendment to be invoked only if default was imminent. Yes, it may or may not have been deemed illegal, but it would have still kept us from default for the time being.

No because Congress, republicans actually, would have immediately declared it Unconstitutional and set that process in motion racing it up to the Supreme Court who would have said so thereby nullifying any hope whatsoever of Obama ever getting elected again.

Good question, I ask the same thing about Ron Paul. He has $1,855,893 on hand.

More than likely cash carried over from his last run at the gop nomination. He had a 7 million dollar money bomb(give or take a couple) in his last gop run I'd seriously doubt he spent all that.
