Hey everyone. I havent been active (posting) these past 2 or three days because the girlfriend and I have been packing and getting ready for a big move. I just wanted to give a few light observations and stimulate the posiblity of just being overly paranoid.

Doesnt it seem weird that we havent heard at all really from Simon or Cerberus? As well, smirkley has been mia (who supposedly holds the one word that -5- needs). Also, belowtopsecret.com was down for a while around all that going on, including deep going down. Then we get the site code played with that was kind of teasing the captains into using the words, now we have a new deep of sorts that has popped up and says it logs stuff. In my total opinion, it seems as if the good guys higher up have been neutralized, and that the site has been hijacked by -5-? or someone and is trying to get the last word. maybe that is why smirkly is mia, he knows whats happened and thats why he hasent responded using secure communication, cause it isnt secure. Also, weren't some posts altered by non admins, non posters? kinda weird in my opinion. no rings page, just a loop, a new deep that acts like big brother, etc. And, if the site was hijacked, I wonder if we can trust posters, assuming the hijacker has access to posting from others accounts. (heck, maybe the 3 captains are all -5-, or taken over, and hes trying to grab the first word, and still has the rings he had before. woudnt that be a twist)

All in all, its just speculation, but from personal experience, I have learned that a certain level of paranoia is actually a defense mechinism and can be a good thing. Just my 2 cents, no offense to anyone. I'll be back searching for answers in a few hours. Peace!

not sure if this is anything or not but ats has changed the title bar up top. It now lists 13 cities which I think coincide with all the major time zones. Black strip with words in green. Might be something; maybe not.

I think it's just a convenience feature to make up for the system clock that never worked. I notice that suburb of Melbourne called New Zealand seems to have dropped off the so called "major time zones" so there are now 11.

As the day is divided into 24 hours, so the 24-inch gauge reminds us to apportion the day into its parts, etc etc...

What time is it in Paris now, anyway?

I never understand why other cultures think that us being (descended from) convicts is a crippling blow, it's actually a major tourist attraction in australia to go and see the now un-used penal camps and prisons.

Im going crazy, I started to look in the old clues(hunt forum) and read them, but im just reading stuff i know and it is driving me up the wall!!! I can't force myself to look through them all.
Give me something new and i can think about it all day, but it feels like im chasing my own tail here as i have forgotten what we should be looking for in the first place
I mean I try to make sense of the clues and look for something in them, but when i do something with a clue, it is already something i have tried before and it is getting on my nerves.

Oh and maybe we are looking for a simple one word command like 'history' or 'list'

Why dont all the captains get together and share their 'words' and enter them together as one word or phrase? (in deep or ID)

I think they may be willing to do that Quicksilver but they are missing Smirkley. Smirkley has the only word that 5 doesn't know and Smirkley hasn't checked into the forum for awhile. We are missing Smirkley's word.

Ok, you are right DashCat.... But, even if we had Smirkley, it may not be that easy. Let`s pretend that we have found smirkley. Ok, we have his word.... His ring unlocks the rest as we know. But, is this the location? -5- does not have the first rings word. That is the only one that he does not know. ID even says that things are lost. -5- has proven to be a good thief if not a good keeper. We must be very very careful. We cannot have him getting to the logs for things entered. We must ENSURE that it is safe or ALL could be lost. Well, that would be if we could find Smirkley. So, we are not faced with that situation ..... yet . We are trying to find him now... unfortunately we have not found him, but we are following a few leads. We are pretty sure that we are just missing something from the Red &/or White clues that will put us onto the right path. We are trying to help everyone in this area also.

Good luck, the best we can do now is to join a team and hit the clues like crazy! Good luck and Godspeed.

Not sure if this is new or old news, but the logo for the hunt thread has changed to a question mark. Never noticed it before since I had this page bookmarked. Not sure if it means anything, though, with all that has been happening in the last few days.

JC I agree that there are probably several things that can be gleaned from the red and white clues. We have probably already tried several that might work. I am concerned however that they will not be activated in ID until after the "convergence". One of the clues states that the Captains will set the stage. I can only infer that it means that the captains will set everything in motion after they have performed the task to become one.
