Kinda sick how many of you where hoping America would fail.

Willing to put so many through so much all because of a political ideal you hold.. Meh, people act like children, its no wonder we have been on pause for so many years. Its a team sport, you cheerleaders should be proud of yourselves.

Are you so opposed to spending cuts and capping the debt ceiling that you call "political ideals" that you want to continue along the same path that got us to this point?

right now i am hearing about 500 billion in defense cuts alot of you will be cheering but

what it means,

thousands of military out of work

thousands of suppliers out of work

increased unemployement

increased welfare

increased medicaid

military gets cut you think they are going to have insurance? not so fast


end result billions of lost revenue in to local economies and tax revenue for states and governments.

everyone ends right back up on the government dime

theres your good government for you.

Not against those or raising taxes.. Fact is for most people on this site it wont matter what mesures are taken because you are anti gov to start with and nothing will be enough... Then you have the right wingers here who will use that and attempt to make every right wing ideal seem the all spoken word of god.

Remember, the amount will not be enough over 10 years , anyway.

The main thing is that it all needs to hold together until Niburu arrives.

After that it really does not matter.

There is no way that something was not going to get passed. It would bring down the financial system if it wasn't

Most of the congressman don't even read the whole bill. They can't and do not have enough time or don't want too. They get the sound bites just like us.

And the sound bites sounds look like this bill is a complete joke. It does nothing!

I am not convinced.
1 Trillion over 10 years will not be enough to keep our credit rating from being downgraded. And the whole trauma behind default is to keep the credit rating.

I couldn't care less about our precious credit rating. We deserve to have it cut severely.

China's credit rating was recently UPGRADED to AA- . They have a 9.5% rate of growth and they own our currency. Our rate of growth is 1.3%, extremely pathetic. That's not growth, that's just the effect of our vast size of gravity overcoming the friction of a failed economy. Soon we will grind to a halt.

And there is no guarantee that any deal will stop S&P or Moody's from downgrading us anyway.

Can I Get SSI and SSDI if I am Homeless? In a Shelter?
YES. You do not need to have a home to get SSI or SSDI, only a way for SSA to contact you and pay your benefits (by mail or direct deposit). You can get SSI for 6 months out of every 9 months you stay in a public (government run) emergency shelter. There is no time limit on getting SSI in a private shelter. There are no limits on getting SSDI in a shelter

It's illegal to say to a voter "Here's $100, vote for me."

So what do the politicians do? They offer the $100 in the form of Health Care, Social Security, Unemployment Insurance, Food Stamps, tobacco subsidies, grain payments, NEA payments, and all sorts of programs. Somehow, the fact that more poor people are on welfare, receiving more generous payments, does not seem to have made this country a nice place to live, not even for the poor on welfare, whose condition seems not noticeably better than when they were poor and off welfare.

The government is really good at one thing. It knows how to break your legs, and then hand you a crutch and say, "See if it weren't for the government, you wouldn't be able to walk."

There are legitimate uses for human institutions but continuation of faceless bureaucracys interested only in centralized planning, theft, socialism, dependence, pauperization, inefficiency, greed waste, while at the same time converting the world into a nursery of "for your own good-ers" and "self-serving busybodies" does not parallel with human happiness.

Just remember that the principal instrument of government is coercion and that our government officials are no more moral, omnipotent, nor omniscient than are any of the rest of us.

Yeah, you are agreeing with me. You just said most of them don't read it. So what the hell is your point? We have the bites now of what the bill is going to be about. Essentially it doesn't solve the debt problem in the least bit. Not even close.
