The article states that in this small town police cameras are tracking every single car coming in and out of it. Records are kept for every car for
two years unless it has been involved in a crime, then it will be kept on record for five years. The article also states that only seven recorded
vehicle crimes were committed, but it doesn't say how severe or arbitrary they were. The police say there after people with suspended license,
drivers with no insurance, and umbrella terms like "those with the intent to commit crime". The common people are upset over obvious privacy
issues, as there currently is no oversight to the information being collected by these cameras so they can be used by anyone within the government it
seems.
As technology advances this will be inevitable everywhere i'm afraid. A globalized world with instant access to information will this kind of
tracking simply a way of life and we can huff and puff but there is no going back so like it or not the whole world is changing.
