Lets write some poems about ignorance! (And denying it of course) I guess write whatever style poem you like! Short or Long!

Here is mine:

If I could move a mountain
With nothing but my hands,
And I could make the rain fall
An all drought tortured lands,
If I could make things better
On every single day
I could still not change opinions
And make others think my way

It is futile that we think
Another's mind could be shaped,
That with just our simple words
Their ignorance has escaped,
And yet no one does consider
That they might just be wrong
'Cause to find a new opinon
Could take too very long

Everyone is a drone and clone,
Apart of system that has grown,
Worship the God of Ignorance,
Truth is the anti-christ,
Lies is the Jesus,
Knowledge is the sin,
With my words and mind,
I will make the blind man see,
And show the world the truth they
refuse to believe.

Believe only it the thing you see
See only the things you fear
Fear the things you dont know
Know the things you hear
Hear the truth in speach
Speak the truth in other ways than mouth
Mouth the words of the wise to all you meet
Try to meet the people that want to be found
In finging these people, try not to over look the ones that cant be seen
In meeting these people free your mind from hate
Because you dont want lose the chance for fate

Evil's MO

When others disagree with you,
Ignore them.
When others say what you are,
Warn them,
When others tell the truth,
Assail them.
When your argument fails,
Berate them.
When they use your tactics against you,
Report them.
When your illusions are challenged,
Exalt them.
When all else fails,
Lie!

I must satisfy a minimum word length for this succinct effort.

So sure of what you think you know
So ready to fight for what you think is right
but the truth and what you try to show
is like the difference between day and night

You spout yout babble like it's absolute
When proven wrong you twist and turn
Too bad for you the truth is resolute
you intentionally lie and for that you will burn

Ignorance runs rampant, the B.S. is deep
I hope you are all quite prepared
The masses follow the liars like sheep
But by the grace of a few the truth shall be spared

Am I nothing more
than a dream about myself?
Will I still be here
once awake?
Will I sail the ocean
of dark and bitter lies?
Or cross the void
between my eyes?
For the truth of blood
and flesh and bone
is this: 'To know
is to be alone'

We all think we know what is right or is wrong,
but if this is the case, shouldn't we get along?
You can't push a rope, and you can't turn a stream,
but we could take the time to ask "what do you mean?"

...f**king Arabs look what they've done to my home,
I swear to god I'll kill every last one of them
my poor city those poor people what will I tell the kids,
f**king Americans look what they've done to my home...

I know a man called Ignorance,
He seems like a nice enough guy.
He waves to me in the morning,
he goes to work in a shirt and a tie.

He doesn't seem dangerous to look at,
In a fight he would probably run.
His bigoted comments seem harmless to him.
Its not like he's "shootin em down with a gun."

He's right of course up to a point,
on his own he's doing no harm.
But with 200 million voters like him,
The Government answers their prayers with napalm.

The less time spent learning
The less time spent considering
The more time to pass judgement

You don't speak to me
you look
decide
without a jury I am sentanced and tried.
By you
because you believed them when they lied.
it's not true
The lines they draw
will wash away
when people see
they are the same

I've got a little rhyme, I didn't write it, but I found it catchy nonetheless(it's about our President, who is full of ignorance);

Like Father,
Like Son,
One Term,
Then Done,

I love that little poem, I don't know if anyone else does, but I guess my hate for the Bush guys makes anything about them funnier.

Swiming through a sea of doubt,
Has become of our age,
I struggle to find that treasure,
Whereby I buy my name.

I define myself through knowledge,
Define my life through my strife,
With that small piece of treasure,
Which may alleviate my plight.

The treasure is found,
My struggles are saved,
I open the golden box,
But nothing remains!

What did I find,
Where does this go,
On top of the rubble,
In that melting snow?

But now I find an old tire,
Behold it contains my key,
I remember who I am,
As I forget the same.

I awake to find a new day,
Floating in the waters afresh,
But when does it end,
That perpetual swim.

Surrounding our society
Lies people refuse to see,
or cannot see because they are decieved
by the false truth that those in power feed
to us.

Push away,
kill the liars.
They sit at the top and look down with smiles,

I got a warning today
From one who doesn't think
That Americans have the right
To say just what they think.

We put up with their constant barbs
And try to see thier view
But let us turn the tables once
And it's time to turn the screws.

So take a lesson from this act
And watch what you do and say
A trigger-happy angry mod
Will take your points away.

Ok this one's definately not as good as the other ones here but it's kind of funny. [/duh]

There once was a man,
whom lived in a can,
and got himself banned
from the ATS webboard.

Why, do you say,
was he banned on that day?
Because of the ways
he didn't deny ignorance.

i try to spreading the truth that hides,
but the world turns a blind eye,
i always fall in defeat,
if i only could show you the elite,
you would read on the lies,
and know why....
