Prepare to backup and hide your important data before its erased forever.

I have a 15 inch thick lead safe for that reason.

My photos music data and docs are in there plus a backup in another location.

Even if this m class was facing the other way. There still seems to be a very active time for the sun at the mo. Alot of C lass and maybe some bigger flares while this storm continues.

Seems rather heavy and unnecessary. I have a Faraday cage I made from j-clips and welded wire - Much lighter, collapsible and no worry of losing a key or forgetting a combination.

While there are some sun spots now, keep in mind that this cycle is still about half what was predicted.

So where is that big earthquake from the june 7 M2 flare?
Dont count on an earthquake from this event, there was no CME observed from the eruption.
The only effect we will see is some magnetic disturbance in the coming days(starting today)www2.nict.go.jp... but that would be from solar winds from (coronal hole) CH468, nothing to do with this flare.

I am sure we will be find - we have had M flares before.
It does appear nap time is over for the sun for a while tho -
no concerns here unless we get an X. Thank you OP for
