In financial disclosures filed last week, Attorney General Pam Bondi reported earning no income in 2010 when she was a candidate for office.

No checking, savings or retirement accounts are reported, either. She lists her net worth at $472,696, with her only assets a home, valued at $635,400, and a car.

Yet Bondi was still able to lower her liabilities in 2010 by $15,961 to $348,704.

Now that this little tiny goof has been discovered, which she's blaming her accountant for, she gets to fix it by amending her 2009 and 2010 tax disclosure forms "to provide the checking account balances that were unintentionally omitted on the original forms".

A disclosure form filed in June 2010 to document her 2009 financial status shows income of $133,685 from her job in the State Attorney's Office.

"If you have a checking or savings account on Dec. 31 of the previous year, you have to show it if it's over $1,000," said Tallahassee election law lawyer Mark Herron. "If your checking account is empty on Dec. 31, or it's under $1,000, you don't have to report it. But it's curious that the new report plus the one from last year, that it was under $1,000, too."

"People make mistakes all the time on their financial disclosures," Herron said. "Most of them come from not reading the form."

Yeah, mistakes happen.
You expect me to believe that the Attorney General of Florida employed an accountant who didn't know how to read the form properly?

Pam Bondi, you're currently under investigation for asking for your foreclosure investigators to resign without cause. Now, we see that you have been lying on your income tax forms.

Please resign immediately so the people of Florida can have an honest and respectable Attorney General in your office Monday morning or as soon as possible.

Oh, and, Pam. Just because you resign doesn't mean that you're exempt from any charges that may result from any internal and external investigations related to how you conducted your public office and personal business affairs.

Did you read the entire post?
She has demanded the resignation of her foreclosure investigators once they discovered the robo-signers and now this? She is dishonest and shady. She is the perfect example of a person who does not need to be holding office.

She's had her opportunity to prove herself. Now she has and she needs to go.

SO what the heck does that have to do with cheating on your taxes????

HER ACCOUNTANT has NOTHING to do with this. The form is returned to the tax payer after it is completed and the TAX PAYER SIGNS IT and sends it to the IRS.

WE the People are tried and found GUILTY of breaking laws we knew nothing about on a regular basis every single day.. This LAWYER saw the LEGAL document, called a tax return, and SIGNED it.

That makes her LEGALLY and MORALLY responsible not her accountant!

"It's bad enough Gov. Rick Scott is hard at work dismantling key consumer protections, but now he has a partner: our own Attorney General Pam Bondi. She seems to think her first duty is to protect some of Gov. Scott’s biggest corporate pals – the banks – instead of hard working Floridians. Recently Bondi fired Florida’s two leading attorneys investigating the epidemic of foreclosure fraud ravaging our communities."

"The attorneys investigating foreclosure fraud said they were forced out."
