Virtual people to get ID checks

The faces and behaviour of online avatars could help identify the people controlling them, scientists believe.

Wow, this is just unbelieveable. Now TPTB want to verify your avatars and on line characters. Soo, you will not be able to fart without the police knowing what you had for breakfast.

It seems that soon you will not be able to move without being monitored.

So, now you have to be careful when creating your World of Warcraft avatar or maybe even your ATS avatar. Look out, they are watching YOU!

Dear OldCorp,

You don't worry about such things to be sure. ROFL, if there is anyone who is not worried about putting themselves out there, it is you. Hope you are well. Personally, I am not concerned either; however, I believe it should be a choice, I don't believe in forcing people to come out, so to speak. As with any relationship, we should be allowed to slowly expose ourselves to the others, it is about the comfort level for me, exposure should be volitional, in my humble opinion. Take care OldCorp and continue enjoying your time with the love of your life friend.

Too bad Sub-Zero isn't my favorite MK character, nor is MK even close to my favorite game.

I wonder if it really doesn't actually make it harder to find the real you if ones considers all of the Avatars most people have, and the fact that you could just have friends come over and use your Avatar to throw em off and whatnot, virtual gangsta, mule, and patsy style. Plus all the manpower and expense, a growing population with internet access. And heck, it would be really hard to prove it was you in court! ... like "Wha, mom, what were you doing on my account?!?"

I totally agree.

How dare the courts say otherwise.

I wonder how hard it is for them to identify the cross dressed individuals, they more than likely create the opposite gender profile and avatars for themselves online. So when they believe they are looking at a male profile it could actually be a female behind the screen or just the reverse.
Some people might just try to hide behind the opposite gender identity to help cloche their real selves identity.

All of this would throw off their profiling, I would think.

Who do you think the first members were?

I assume all MMORPG’s are the same, with government agents being first to sign up to watch the others who join..
