Not trying to detract from the very amusing comments on this thread (that walmart video was hilarious) but I would be willing to bet that this sign is
management's snide way of telling people to stop getting in line at "15 items or less" express lanes with a shopping cart full of stuff.
I've worked in stores with express lanes and there are few things more irritating than being the clerk at a 15 items or less checkout when some
inconsiderate youknowwhat rolls up with a pile of crap that's more like 50 items than 15 and gets all indignant, insisting you ring up their order,
when there are 12 people in line behind them with 3 items each.
If I were a sarcastic manager I would post a sign like that as a backhanded way of telling those people that they are in fact d-bags and will be asked
to move to a regular checkout lane, no matter how long the line is.
