US accuses Iran of 'secret deal' with al-Qaida

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration accused Iran on Thursday of entering into a "secret deal" with an al-Qaida offshoot that provides money and recruits for attacks in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Treasury Department designated six members of the unit as terrorists subject to U.S. sanctions.

"Iran is the leading state sponsor of terrorism in the world today," Cohen said in a statement. "We are illuminating yet another aspect of Iran's unmatched support for terrorism."

Looks like more fuel to the fire on Iran. The article says some sanctions were placed on a few members of this al-qaeda offshoot, but no Iranian officials were cited.

I wonder what Iran will say about this. It will be interesting to see what Press TV's article about this will be. Im guessing Iran is going to say it's all lies. Im not sure which story will be true

You can almost smell the fear mongering in the air. It says in the article what deal was struck.

Western officials point to the release earlier this year of an Iranian diplomat who was held for 15 months after being kidnapped by gunmen in Pakistan. In negotiations for the diplomat's freedom, they say Iran promised better conditions for dozens of people close to Osama bin Laden who were being held under tight security. These included some of the terror chief's children and the network's most senior military strategist, Saif al-Adel.

So what was the deal struck? Iran will only torture them twice a day instead of three times a day? Also the article states Iran limits al-Qaidas movements and contacts. By the sound of it they are doing a better job watching them than we did.

This has been debunked time and time again. alCIAda are sunni muslim and Iran is Shi-ite if you research the history of both you will find out very quickly that this is probably BS.
But its sweet coming from an administration who has just recognized known alCIAda linked rebels as the ligitimate government in Libya and even wants to let them build embasies in the USA.

More BS, so Israel has a free pass to subjugate the last Sovereign nation in the middle east.

Wake up world, Iran just wants to be left alone, if they have terrorists thank another tyrannical government for making them.

One Nation's Terrorist, is another's freedom fighter. I love America, but its no surprise we have home-grown terrorists, with how ineffective our leaders are at representing "the peoples" interest.

Our Leaders are more concerned with the unlimited bribes they can take from lobbyists.
