At what point does gross incompetence/wilful disregard for the constitution by the elected officials sworn to uphold the constitution constitue treason?

Thoughts/Discussion

I'm not certain that constitutes "treason" in the strictest sense of the word but in recognition of what you're saying, my reply is: immediately.

Instantaneously upon one single act against one's nation, that person has committed treason.

Although this thought/question could go in many directions..... my inital thought was that the inability of congress to balance a budget for decades is easily catagorized as gross incompetence by our elected officials. The fact that they have over spent and under taxed (the rich) for so many years affecting the solvency of the nation could be construed as treasonous.

Do you have an example of where they are circumventing the Constitution?

Any gray areas go to the Supreme Court and I know of no other attempts by anyone to go against the Constitution.

gross incompetence/wilful disregard

would be of course against the best interest of the Corporation,, remember this is Law.,,as too wether it is AGAINST the best interest of the People,, shareholders,, is another matter.
Many times shareholders who have not been privy too the upper secrets of Administrators of the corp. would cry "remove".
So i guess it comes down to Trust,,, but in what,, that is the question.

UNDER taxed the rich? Observe: (2008 figures)

The top 1% earned 20.70% of the income, but paid 38.02% of all income taxes.
The top 5% earned 34.73% of the income, but paid 58.72% of all income taxes.
The top 10% earned 45.77% of the income, but paid 69.94% of all income taxes.
The top 25% earned 67.38% of the income, but paid 86.34% of all income taxes.
The top 50% earned 87.25% of the income, but paid 97.30% of all income taxes.
The bottom 50% earned 12.75% of the income, but paid 2.59% of all income taxes

Now let’s put that in perspective.

The top 1% means your adjusted gross income is at or above $380,354.
The top 10% means your adjusted gross income is at or above $113,799.
The top 25% means your adjusted gross income is at or above $67,280.
The top 50% means your adjusted gross income is at or above $33,048.
The bottom 50% means your adjusted gross income is below $33,048.

If you overtax the rich, they'll find ways around it or leave, then you won't have all that extra money for all your precious social programs, none of which are in the constitution at all.

Care to show me the law that states gross incompetance is considered treason.

You can't because it doesn't exist.
