Boehner Vote Postponed as of Thursday Night

WASHINGTON -- House GOP leadership announced abruptly on Thursday evening that they were suspending a vote on Speaker John Boehner's (R-Ohio) debt ceiling proposal, signaling in the process that the GOP lacked the votes to pass the package.

I cant wait to see the default and watch the whole country run amok, it will make for some great TV.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if they keep postponing it until their month long summer vacation starts. Considering it won't even pass the Senate, I find the whole process ridiculously stupid. I'd love to see a figuring calculating up the salaries all of our congressman and various other officials (including the President) have been paid during this 'debate' fiasco.

I aggree. I don't see them on track for the 2nd or anytime in the near future.

H.R. 2306 would cut some spending. That's for sure.
