The New York Times?...

I am sorry, that was a joke right?...

BTW, in case you didn't know under OBAMA $9-$13 trillion dollars were "lost into a blackhole"...and Obama went on record claiming they didn't know what had happened to that money...

Appart from that unfortunately the Republican party has been hijacked by RINOs, and most of the rest have been bought off. Only a few like Ron Paul are the only remaining real Republicans in the party.

So, for you left wingers the world around next time you want to diss Republicanism, read the U.S. Constitution first and inform yourself about what form of government the forefathers of the U.S. decided was best for the people...

Section 4 - Republican form of government guaranteed. Each State to be protected.
The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union, a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened), against domestic violence.

avalon.law.yale.edu...

But the left, the Feds and the rich elites will try to erase that truth from the Constitution or get rid of it altogether.

Unfortunately for the most part today's Republican Party gives a bad name to the Republic of the United States, and what it means to be a Republican.

While no president can avoid having to deal with the decisions of the past holders of the office nor the events that occured during their term, the president is elected to provide leadership during their time in office and that is what Obama has failed to do.

Bush spent too much money.
Obama spent too much money
Congress spent too money

All parties have been devoid of competent leadership for decades.

Obama has, unfortunately for himself failed to provide the adequate leadership from day one on economic issues, as did Bush. He is the person running the country and he is to blame for where we stand in this debt problem, which is a typical "he said, she said" game playing process.

Had Obama confronted this issue a year ago and brought public sunshine on the problems, put plans on paper with legitimate solutions we would not be where we are today and for that only he deserves the blame.

I forget who said it, but its true: "these people would rather lead in hell than live in heaven" it is becoming quite clear that the majority of the government on both sides falls into that category

Words to live by.

I endorse this message.

Leaders do not put blame on other individuals. Leaders take charge and responsibility regardless about the circumstances. Obama is not leading.

Obama is part of the problem.

WOW! Even Stevie Wonder can CLEARLY see that the mess we are currently in is nothing more than Republican RACISM against a black man whom they just can't get over winning the highest office.

Even good ol' boy, Mitch McConnell, said just over a week ago, "There will be NO BILLS PASSED while THIS PRESIDENT is in office.

The "Repugnantcants" have been working to derail and diminish this man's leadership since DAY ONE.

I am in agreement that MUCH more could and SHOULD have been done by Obama, but the HINDRANCE of the "Republican Party Of No" has nearly devestated our diplomatic process of governing our Government.

Let us keep the truth out there. No matter what lies Fox News listeners have swallowed!

What I'm seeing is a somewhat entertaining but also depressing role reversal. When dealing with Bush defenders a few years back, you saw them desperate to prove that their leader was in the right and that "radical liberals", "pinkos", and "traitors" were against him. Now, when presented with obvious fact that Obama is continuing Bush policies and is a horrible leader, also failing miserably, Obama defenders are likewise becoming desperate defending their dear leader. If you can't see that Obama policies are continuing to make elites more powerful and the American citizenry more dependent on on an increasingly collectivist form of government, then I don't know what to tell you. Blaming the last guy for the fact that your guy is continuing the last guy's policies almost to the T has become very weak and pitiful. If you thought the Bushies were silly with their weak defenses of their guy, take a look in the mirror, or possibly do some independent, factual research on Obama's policies and their results. For me, I see the same corporate/bank dominated imperialistic socialism that existed under Bush. Like Bush before him, his words are meaningless tripe. He lies through his nice choppers as easily and as often as Bush lied through his chiclets. But I guess that opinion makes me a "teabagger" or a "right winger."

When I pointed out the error made by the op, I was trying to show everyone that Obama's record is not clean. If we go by how the article was twisted, by Obama loyalists, Democrat supporters were making it look like Obama was clean.

He is worse or just as bad as the first dirt bag.

Oh well, let them learn. They'll only be happy when a white man is back in the White House.

That is a very racist comment. The fact that some people disagree with Obama's reckless policies, does not make them racist. You are the racist, equating disagreement with skin color.

Hi,

Yes that was a little racist actually. However what about when you tell your wife you actually do not like your female boss? - Or that you would truly hate to have a female as president? - What is that then?

THE TRUTH

He he just trying to wake people up a little.. Not much going on at work right now.

I'm just wondering why you dismissed that poster's question because he or she is Welsh. You say it doesn't matter to them, but you are in the UK. Why are you going out of your way to bash the US's past president and actually a good portion of our citizens? It shouldn't matter to you then either.

The hell with Obama or Bush.
You want to point fingers, point them squarely at Congress that allows this to happen, if not encourages it.
Some serious housecleaning needs to go on there. Has for decades.

I can't stand it when people try to justify Obama's poor performance by stating he's so much better than Bush. I mean, they are like Dumb and Dumber. That's the problem with our two-party system. If you are GOP, you refuse to see any merits in the Democrats. If you are Democrat, you refuse to see any merit in the GOP. And they all refuse to see they are all merely two sides of the same coin. "My team is better than your team...na-na-na-na-na-na" It's like junior high all over again.

WOW!

That chart perfectly proves how much Bush destroyed the American economy. What a shame. The guy and his cronies get a free pass too! Now that Obama has to correct the uncorrectable, he is going to get pointed at because he cannot perform miracles. While the Tea Party single handedly destroys us because they see the Bush tax cuts ending as a tax increase, Obama will take the fall as an evil America destroyer. Well played sir. Well played indeed.

Stockholm syndrome is real. All the middle class who support Boehner and the bunch are so deluded. These guys are forcing you down while they get richer and you clap.

I have said this before, While I thought Bush was a complete idiot I have to wonder how he created this "Perfect political storm". Was it just pure dumb luck? or was their a genius somewhere in the mix to do all this?

-He starts two wars that we cannot simply walk away from. The wars themselves are started to find WMDs that don't exsist and other "bad intel". Bush and the gang retire to the ranch and turn over the reaccuring charges on the national credit card over to their the successors who just happen to be in their rival party...Brilliant!

-During his regin, the economy begins to falter-badly-, and gets some tax cuts put through that are supposed to be temporary and sets those tax cuts to expire during his successors time in the Oval office. This is nothing short of genius.

-At the 11th hour of his time in office Bush approves huge bailouts and then tipping his hat as he walks out the doors says "let me know how that works out for y'all".

So now the next President comes to power and there is this huge stinking mess on his plate that he has to deal with. Well because most Americans have the attention spans of Goldfish we blame the seated President and in the next election sweep the GOP back into power to further hobble the seated President and when 2012 comes around the GOP will use as the theme "What have you done for me lately" from Janet Jackson and quite possibly end up back in the Oval office again.

This is just jaw droppingly masterful politics.

Obama does not have leadership ability, period. He never was in a position where his leadership talents could be exercised, nor demonstrated. Now here we are.

We have a sharply divided country with representatives on both sides being held hostage by ideologues. To suggest that one side or the other should simply support the agenda of the other when it clearly runs counter to the views of their constitutents is absurd. Mitch McConnell is doing his job to support conservative policies, period. To the extent that he is required to frustrate the attempts of Obama to achieve his agenda, so be it - its his job to do so. Certainly not to harm the country in the process, but by a legitimate harms analysis it is quite easy to determine that doing nothing is less harmful than enacting certain policies, regardless of what they are and regardless of what side you're on. Sorry, Mr. Obama, but these are the big leagues and pushing Mitch McConnell around is a bit more difficult that pushing some Chicago ward boss around as a community organizer.

The congress opposed everything Reagan did as well. The media was also opposed to him. What did he do? He led. He ignored by in large the media and the congress and went on TV and talked to the American people. He turned their opinions and in turn got them to put pressure on congress. He largely got his agenda in the minds of the American people and made it their agenda. When you can do that, you've won and that is called leadership.

Obama should have, upon taking office, when the nightmare of the Bush administration was clearly not of his creating, communicated in facts, the reality of the situation. What the options were and what he proposed to do in specifics, not in teleprompted bromides. Candid, President to people, straight talk. He should have published plans, bills, proposals and executive orders to get the house in order. He should have placed public sunshine on the nonsense that occurs within the government on both sides and led our way out of it. He should have done it repeatedly. He should have in other words, done what Reagan did.

Instead he delegated the running of the government to Pelosi and Reid, two of the most reviled leaders in American politics. He went golfing and on vacation. He looked disengaged, above the petty business of governing. He looked (looks) petulant that folks are simply not doing what he wants. He has failed to lead and blaming the gent who was in office several years ain't working.

Now what is happening is becoming each day less of a left vs. right deal and more of a anti-government, throw them all out deal. When people become so frustrated that they are willing to accept terrible options to win on principal, such as shut the government down or default, the entire leadership class has failed.

Enough of the lies, enough of the accounting tricks, enough of seeking to craft bills that are designed so that each side can declare victory. This problem is not that difficult to solve. Its solved every day in every household, small business, large corporation and in most of the states in the country. You need to cut 5% off the total cost of government across the board? Easy. Cut it across the board. Not cut the rate of growth, cut it and make it work. If certain functions can't reasonably be cut by 5%, fine. Take a look at that after the plan to cut 5% has been submitted and explain to the American people why it can't and what the impact is and if its the case, then cut other things by 6-8% until you get to a place where the total cost of government is cut.

It ain't rocket science and the challenge is that we all know it and its become a game.

Allowing it to become a game is Obama's fault.

You start your post with ridicule and name calling then you expect people to read your post. When I saw you were from the UK that purty much says it all,but then again progressive liberals are the same evrywhere.

Maybe when we kick the clown out (like we did the Brits 200+ years ago)you can talk him into socializing the UK ,that ought to finish off the UK right nicely.

The debt is only one of many reasons that Obama is seen as just another Jimmie Carter on steroid's but no doubt you probably see that as a plus.

You have to love the way some pompass *** from another country in the shape the UK is in takes it upon "its" self to tell the people in the U.S.how we should act.

I will apoligize ahead of time for being so rude but people like you with post like this make me act like everything I cant stand.
