I didn't say she was not guilty, I said that the punishment did not fit the crime and did not think the magistrate had considered her cirumstances. It appears there was no neglect occurring, no willful harm of the animal. It was just an old dog that was almost ready to die that in the states opinion should have been euthanised. Tags, community service and fines are for people who intentionally hurt animals or other crimes, not for neglect through desire not to lose a companion.

Don't you just love this great country of ours?
Tag a granny for showing poor judgement in an emotional dilemma and give a peado teacher a suspended sentence because the poor chap had to work in a place of tempation!!
I really do despair

I know what you mean...
How has it come to this?
The law seems rigged against the decent folk,in favour of the criminal.
Time after time.

What a disgrace.

What an insane society.

They sentence and tag Grandmothers, for allowing their beloved pets a natural death. And they sentence loving family members who show the same mercy to beloved dying relatives that They insist be shown to a dog.

Insane.
