South Korea is trying to cope with 24 hours of unprecedented torrential rain that has killed at least 36 and caused widespread floods, blocked roads and swept away buildings in and around its capital Seoul.
One devastating landslide caused by the water has obliterated a mountain resort this

According to people i know there, flooding to this extent has never happened in the city of Seoul.

I wonder how this compares to past events there...

Of course there was probably even more than what's accounted for here.

And it looks like the Philippines got hit with this storm pretty bad too.

Yes Philippines got deluge and that storm is heading on to China. Another is lining up. Korea is a ways north from us. Rainy season came early and with a vengeance.
