Actually, he is a republican. His ideology is that of a libertarian, but he is in the republican party.

Please everyone - its statements like this that reinforce why we must Support Ron Paul and ignore all of the people that claim we'll be throwing our votes away. The only way you can waste your vote is if you vote for a Loss of Liberty candidate (i.e. anyone OTHER than Ron Paul).

He is a member of the Rep only due to elections. A RINO if you will.
But, he is a Libertarian.

I prefer to think of all of the other Republicans as RINO's and Ron Paul the only true Republican. At least I became a Republican based on their talk of smaller government. Haven't seen much of that in the last 20 years though.

After watching the video and reading the comments, I sat in my office and thought to myself:

You know what?...... This man is gonna win this election!
And as soon as that thought came up, shivers and chills of excitment and patriotism waved through me.
God bless America and God bless this wonderful man for walking through the vally of the shadow of death.

GO RON, take it to the house!

This guy is are only chance to steer this country towards Liberty...

Go Paul!!!

This man would destroy liberty with all the power he would give the States. Look at the mess California is going through and he'd be all for letting them do whatever they want. Let Arizona shoot the immigrants while California gives em free education.

Under Paul you would have no national uniformity and just one giant mess going from State to State.

Yep, because people in Arizona want to shoot illegals.
You really are just an internet forum troll.

It was stated to make a point. I guess I should have dumbed it down for you a little bit so here goes. Ron Paul believes States should be able to make their own laws that trump National law for all intents and purposes and believes they will act the correct way and not do something foolish when given this power.

Looking at State legislatures and the history of State's laws do you really believe that?

I am all for the Constitution but Paul isn't. The Constitution was written to give the Federal Government more power since the Articles of Confederation was giving it all to the States and the Federal Government had no authority over them. Paul want's to go back to the States trumping federal law.

Oh gee thanks. I had to put down my can of Natty Lite, stand up off my rocking chair on the front porch of my trailer to understand that.

For the dim witted, States rights are as such, the Fed Govt is limited in it's control and laws.
The State can pass laws more restricting then the Fed Govt. The Fed Govt was designed to be limited in its scope, size and control.

Oh I forgot, you are of the central planning Socialist style Fed Govt.

Of course it was and that's not being debated. Ron Paul wants to take it a step further and let State's have total Autonomy. Under his belief a State would be able to enact Jim Crowe laws again if they want or set their own education standards and their own drug laws and on and on. If you do not see a problem with 50 different laws across the nation per issue then I don't know what to tell you.

He also believes Churches should have a definite place in society whether you are a believer or not.

The Founding Fathers envisioned a robustly Christian yet religiously tolerant America, with churches serving as vital institutions that would eclipse the state in importance. — Ron Paul

This man may have some good ideas but for every decent one he has two that make you go HUH?

Yep, Jim Crowe laws, maybe some indentured servitude on the side. Throw in some shooting illegals.

Internet Forum troll.

Yea I've noticed when someone runs out of facts they start throwing out the troll word.

Do some research and up your game and come on back if you'd like to try again.

Obama would win in 2012 if he got Ron Paul to be Treasury Secretary.

I would love to see Ron Paul's face when the vaults at Fort Knox were opened and there wasn't 1 gold bar in there.

He'd disappear for months and would lock himself in the gold vault spray painting bricks gold and stacking them neatly for months. "Dang I shouldn't have bad mouthed the CIA...those boys could have gotten us some gold"....ha ha ha ha!!!

While I support Ron Paul, I think it is foolish to hail him as the "Savior of America" or by some other equally ego-inflating remark. Ron Paul is a Man, while I am sure he will try to do his best to steer our country away from ruin, we have to do our part as well.

Just look how much faith was put into Obama's presidency. Too much unknowledgable support is not always a good thing.

KNow the issues. KNow your rights. KNow your duty.

Or just people on the internet that have nothing else to fall back on except "Blacks will be slaves again".

Sure sure.

The U.S constitution is socialist. It gives the govt the authority to tax so it can specifically provide for the general welfare.

This is the main problem I have with minarchism. You guys have no idea how to stop the govt from getting tyrannical again once RP leaves office. You guys think govt without consent of the governed [slavery] is acceptable. You guys think some taxation without consent [stealing] is acceptable. Once you believe theft and slavery is okay, then there is no way to control the govt.
