Where exactly were they taking them from? International waters? If that's so then why aren't American vessels out there also.

I noticed you gave no links so your story is very suspect.

I am not a commercial fisherman, but I live here so I do know a few. The commercial fisherman here have always complained about the Japanese in our waters and there HUGE nets. When I say huge I mean they can be like miles long, it can get quite ridiculous out there in those waters.
