Pastor Joe Nelms gave the invocation prior the race. I won't spoil the fun for y'all(used in the spirit of Nascar),by telling you what happens. Rest assured it hilarious.

The very concept of this makes true religious humans and people who don't believe facepalm and laugh.

Nuff said.

Don't expect much intelligence from people who watch nascar.

I bet if I wrote a book and 2000 years from now some of the future people like that read it they'd believe it simply because my book says it's fact.

Oh..wait.............that's already happened, it's called REALITY

I wouldn't say I "watch NASCAR", but I am a casual fan. It's being discussed across the nation on sports radio.

I'm sure those that make fun of NASCAR racing and the people who are fans, woulda/will still do so anyway.

"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full."

it was pretty funny.

he is a pastor and allowed to be married.

a priest couldn't say that nor a iman.

we need a sense of humor more than ever.

sorry, forgot the rabbi, i'm sure there is 1 or 2 with "a smokin hot wife" that might say that but not a NASCAR

race.

*snip*

I'm saying that they are hypocrites by using the the words that they worship by. Perhaps you should not jump to conclusions so fast, it makes you look bad.

I just don't see NASCAR as a "sport". It's more of a public spectacle.

And, "Tallageda Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" did a good job of mocking NASCAR's CULTure of worshipping corporate sponsors and shallow pursuits of glory.
