Deny Ignorance

ATS has driven me mad at time, but I love the debate, when it is debate!

It moved me to write a peom. Enjoy:

Deny Ignorance.

You know what they say, it’s said every day
There ain’t any smoke without fire
When I hear your opinion I want to see proof
And if you can’t give me that your a liar.
Faith is for fools, I make my own rules
It’s not there if I can’t touch it or see it
There’s no truth out there, so why should I care?
And if there is, well it’s not my job to free it.
I’ve made up my mind, so you and your kind
Who preach doom or preach love or preach hate
Can hang up your books and your video clips
I know I am right; you’re too late!

What I hate most, is when people tell you to read back through the entire thread (sometimes spanning a few hundred pages) in order to find the citations for their claims.

Ya, like I want to read the equivalent of a book, simply so I can find the source of your claim.

Yes. That. I swear it's like an epidemic.

What's funny about these, is when you do the work, and find these sources, you'll often find these people were feeding you a line of bulls**t (often a biased opinion) and/or didn't understand the source content.
