In my life I have gotten quite a few compliments on my steaks and I have to admit they are pretty freaking amazing.. I decided to share my marinade with the world...

I'm sure many many people marinade their steaks this way but imo it's the best way. I've tried different variations over the years and so far this particular one is the best bar none.

Sure it's simple but it really is good.

Materials:

2 Small Containers to mix the rub and marinade (they really don't need to be that big.)
1 1gallon zip lock bags. (the large ones
)

It's generally 2 steaks per bag so adjust accordingly.

The Ingredients:

Seasoning Salt (AKA Season All Salt)
Black Pepper
Garlic or Garlic Powder ( I usually use powder for this)
Italian Seasoning (but not much)
Worcestershire Sauce
Red Wine Vinegar
Soy Sauce

The Process:

1. The Rub

For this part prepare a 1:1:1:1/2 ratio seasoning salt, garlic powder (fresh garlic works too), black pepper and a touch of Italian seasoning (and I do mean just a touch) in a rub.. be sure to mix all this stuff together really well in a separate container.

Rub it on the steaks evenly and it can be decently thick but don't go overboard.

2. The Sensual Massage.

This part is pretty self explanatory. Give the steaks a nice massage and do it with love and affection. As the rub is embedded in the steaks don't be afraid to add a pinch more. Heck why not..

The reason you massage your steaks is because it does three things.. It embeds the rub, it tenderizes the meat and it basically turns them into a meat sponge to absorb the marinade..

You could skip the massage step but you would really only be cheating yourself.

3. The Marinade

Mix up 2 parts Worcestershire, 1 part red wine vinegar and 1 part soy sauce.

Now the reason I didn't give exact amounts is because it really doesn't matter as long as you have enough to saturate your steaks and have the proper ratio of marinade ingredients. I would however make enough for there to be a bit extra in the bag after all the steaks will basically be a sponge after all.

I will say though.. don't go overboard with the soy sauce.

Place two steaks per bag (16oz) and Dump in the marinade... Roll the bag around the steaks getting as much extra air out as you can and then place them in your refrigerator flipping them over two times a day.

I usually marinade for two full days.

I would add seasoning salt and black pepper to the surface while grilling.

Grill them up and Enjoy!!!

I get alot of compliments on my steaks as well.

Your marinade sounds amazing but for guys like me i would like to add mine as well.
I don't do alot of groceries and eat out most nights or order in.
I don't own soy sauce, red wine vinegear,Italian seasong or worcestershire sauce.

Step 1
Buy the best meat money can buy from a butcher.

Step 2
Toss it in a ziplock bag with fresh garlic and balsamic vinegar.

Done.

I actually didn't even know much about steaks until I found ats and asked and was rewarded with good information.
Nice thread man.

Shall I be the one to say every great new recipe need a suggested wine....

Steak is always best with a sharp red...but in this case...you may have a white or a blush in mind aye?

Just saying...a dinner steak that sounds this good ought to have a suggested wine....and I know you do OP!

Nothing more attractive to a man than a woman who knows her way around a slab of beef!

Unless of course he's a vegetarian.... then of course he's pretty well doomed to a life of unhappy eating...

Healthy.. maybe... Happy... no fricken way!
