Talk about your all star lineups
Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Nipsey Russell, Ted Ross.
this was a musical and what great music...

one of the big reasons this movie never went far is it was loaded social commentaries hidden within the film that surely made a lot of people back in 78 very nervous...

one blatant racial suggestion is how none of the many taxis would pick up Diana Ross as she made her way to see Richard Prior AKA the WIZ...

I've seen this movie before a couple times. I have to admit I laughed at it and yes the racial and social issues are brought up as if it were a skit on In Living Color. It's def. worth a view if you haven't seen it if for no other reason than to see Michael Jackson play the scarecrow.
