Explanation: OL was talking to a close family friend about the resignation of two top UK cops due to the Murdoch media group scandal [see it on ATS] and she made the comment that "She has lost all faith and hope of seeing a safe 2012 Olympics in the UK with the loss of such important and high ranking personel and with such a short time to go until the games begin, because security issues take a VERY LONG TIME to perfect etc."!

:O

Now as OL is an Australian, this made me very concerned for the safety of the Australian Olympic Team.

Has this scandal ruined all hopes for a secure 2012 UK Olympics???

Personal Disclosure: I know ... this stinks bad! Please help depongify it before it grows into a disgusting monster of a problem for everybody!

Can't see the resignations as detrimental to next years Olympic Games.. Actually might be more beneficial not have bent coppers in charge of such an event

And I am sure Mi5 and other such agencies from around the world will have their say in security not just of the events but of their own teams security.

this will have minimal impact on the security planning

the security plan will be comparmentalised with a

ie :

traffic management

security check points

cctv monitoring

undercover [ plain clothes ] patrols

intelligence collation and distribution

bomb location , detection and response [ including army liason ]

foot patrols

co ordination with other security services [ MI-5 , mi-6 , military , fire , paramedics ]

armed response availiability

helicopter surveilence and response

to name but a few areas

will be the remit of a senior officer [ cheif superintendant or assistant commissioner ] - acting as head of a larger team dedicating itself to that sphere of operations

with deputy commissioners and assistant commisioners tasked with co-ordinating each team

the plan does not hinge on one man

Explanation: Seems that security at the 2012 London Olympics has been totally compromised!

Undercover Reporter Infiltrates Security Firm to Expose London Olympics (by haven123 posted on 24-6-2012 @ 06:11 AM) [ATS]

Exclusive interview with investigative journalist Lee Hazledean who is training undercover as a security guard for the London olympics with private security firm G4S. Lee is a filmmaker and investigative TV journalist. He has also been involved in major stories on the IRA and how British Army infiltrated the organisation and carried out false flag operations. He has managed to get undercover as part of the security team at the 2012 Olympics with G4S. He has found there is a media black out on all major news outlets to do with the Olympics unless the story is broken in a news paper or foreign news agency it's unlikely to see the light of day. Security training and officers are so appaling that the safety and security of the London 2012 Olympics are in jeopardy.
