You forgot, "Let me clear."

Those are the three words I hate most coming from a politician. They are never clear.

Like usual no substance, no real plan just more politicing. He is not offering anything but more of the same crud and failed policies that got us into this mess.

Actually Obama is doing just what the Bush neocons want him to do. Failed economic policies and following the PNAC to the letter. Your ire is misplaced and your ideology is getting in the way of your common sense.

The House speaker who is following Obama is a liar too

thanks mirthful Partisan!

The Speaker doesn't lead the country. Obama does, and he's shown himself to be a megalomaniacal dictator that can't seem to quit killing the citizens of sovereign countries. Boehner is just a ##snip##

Can we just of rid ourselves of all the politicians? The world would be a better place. I trust neither party.
There really hasn't been any leaders since Reagan, and Tip O'Neill was great also.
Both parties are to fault and have not taken care of there constituency or have answered to them.
They all need there feet to the fire, for about 12 hours.

Watched the whole partisan fiasco...

Obama won...

I don't know who wrote Boehner's address, but they must not be good at PR...

Sure he mentioned the Constitution ... that's all.. he said the word...

And who the heck came up with "bigger the government, the smaller the people" with no followup?!

He should have followed with WE are for Smaller gov't... and a Larger People... or something to that effect...

In the end.. it's same old same old... President wins by having better writers..

cut spending and ditch "BUSH'S" tax cuts already. yes obama sucks, but you people that continue to hold your buddy bush in such high regard need to reconsider how the world ticks.

and then boehner spouts off with the same ol line, "derp, raising taxes on the rich hurts job creation, derp!". since the bush tax cuts and mass de-regulation of everything, jobs have fell off, and rich got richer over the past 10 years.

like I said, obama gotta go, but please release yourself from the spell bush put upon you, 95% of the world crisis came outta the bush admin.

I found it strange that Obama kept mentioning tax increases on the wealthy and corporations but most of the plans and talks of late haven't really involved any tax increases on the wealthy.

I guess he was referring to ending tax loopholes, etc.?

Barry says Reagan raised the debt limit 18 times. Which is roughly once every 5.33 months. He then goes on to say that a debt limit increase every 6 months wont work. How come it worked for Reagan, and wont work for you, Barry? The whole speech was just Obama campaigning for 2012, right down to the creepy smile at the end.

The time is now.

Damn straight he attacked 43 as him and Daddy were the direct and sole cause for this entire mess and predicament we are in now, this is just facts and whoever cannot see that is blinder then a bat.

TPTB, Wall Street, the GOP, The banks are all betting on the nation defaulting as it will make it just that much easier for them to implement their draconian policies and whoever here or anywhere is for them is Anti American and a traitor to this great nation.

The deficit didn't rise by 4 trillion dollars because of Bush². You forgot to add a Clinton and multiply by the square of an Obama.

The only thing to say is that both sides shared equally in causing this mess and both sides are full of it trying to blame the other.

I just don't get why people continue to be members of either Party?

Even so, Obama is the most transparent liar in my memory. Other Presidents from both sides were far better at it than he is.

I think his problem is he has surrounded himself with ideological friends instead of the people he needs. Does that mean he is that naive, or does it means he owes them? Likely the later i guess but then he does repeat the words they write for him, which cannot make him the brightest bulb to ever reside in the White House.
