What is this new black tail on Venus?

You'll see that today between 12:54 and 16:30 the sun got quiet and this black tail showed up

big burst here too:

Wow, that's weird. Wonder what the heck that is.

I hope an ATS member with solid Astronomy credentials can shed some light on this.

Will be checking back in the hopes that someone can post a solid theory explaining that tail.

I have no idea.....a glitch maybe? I saw the huge burst......everything is just odd lately. I will hang around for others to come on and tell us their opinions. Thanks for the info.

Absolutely nothing! Don't pay any attention to the major storms on Saturn, don't worry about Pluto turning red or anything about all of the planets in the solar system warming up at the same time, everything is completely normal!

I see we also had a large cme toward venus right before it got so quiet.

Ahhhhhhhh.....why yes it is all normal now we must all go back to sleep. The fact that most planets are warming and the Sun is behaving strange is just no coincidence. I am eagerly awaiting some solid answers. Is it a tail? Time will tell.

Why do I get the feeling a certain few will be in here to tell us it is a known artifact? Lint on the lens, particles, swamp gas.

Im gonna say camera glitch, purely for the fact that as Venus moves the "tail" stays in the same position.

It's probably just a shadow. What else could it be?

Wasn't there a theory that Venus was a Comet that got stuck into this orbit and still has its tail?

Is Venus spinning in the opposite direction to other planets?
