Tear and the gypsy curse
His fathers’ eye,
his mothers’ love,
he'd lost them for a strangers’ heart,
without their blessing, left the pack,
from his bride never to be set apart.
Never more here to be seen,
to build their peaceful dream.
Cold winter nights,
the nightmares came.
Visions showed him words,
The old witch spoke for him to hear:
“Your family forever cursed,
never again will you belong,
forsaken your chance to return,
with that knowledge you shall burn!”
He’s lovely wife,
she never knew,
his worries never showing.
Her happiness he would not break,
for the life inside her growing.
For this child never sorrow nor pain!
For this child never burden nor blame!
Summer came, her belly round,
when she called upon his name.
"Sweet husband sit here with me now
listen to what I have to say:
“The future has been shown to me
and sweet it will not be.
When I awoke, in morning gold
an angel whispered in my ear
when evening falls, no luck with us
bad fortune now is here.
So see my face and never forget,
love our child and have no regret,
and know I’ll always be near”
The full moon washed, he sat alone,
his love has left this earth,
she’d told him not to cry,
for the sorrow of this birth.
The newborn peaceful in her arms,
his tear fell on her cheek,
She smiled to him and whispered:
“ 'Tear' shall be her name ”.
Then her last breath escaped her lips
and again the angel came.

This one had been sitting in my computer for 4 years and in that time I've changed it quite a lot. It never came out satisfying so I desided to stick
with the original version, which is the one posted here.
