04-04-12: Is This Another Example of a Social Interaction Experiment?

Greetings:

There has been quite a lot of interest generated recently in the "8-3-11 Creepy Website! Can We Figure Out The Code?"

The various considerations of the "message" run the gamut of possibilities - literally.

Here are just a few of the offerings from the Update by Forevever:

1. It's about "working together", "looking inside yourself", basically "YOU" (sociology experiment)

2. It's about the holocaust (the belle selman link)

3. It's about an art project regarding "stoning" (the doodle image on page 103 and 104)

4. It's about religious connotations possibly related to comets or constellations

We, for one, consider it a brilliant example of Los Tres Amigos planting various crumbs in the maze to analyze the scouring about, chasing even the faintest whiff of a possibility of "the truth..."

Whatever "it" is, we will participate in this experiment until it proves itself non-worthy of attention by being exposed as a hoax ... or continues to pique the interest.

On the other hand, we sincerely hope that this "04-04-12" thingy brings together more the great minds that have actually made the "8-3-11" thingy the wonderful reflection of what makes ATS the best site on the internet - the caring, earnest, intelligent, inquisitive individuals that band together to tackle a "problem."

Come on, one and all, let the games begin!
