SkepticOverlord should be removed as a moderator

Proposal: SkepticOverlord is NOT equiped to be a good moderator.

Moderator: One who moderates.

Not one who is driven by ego, self doubt, insecurity

SkepticOverlord is trying to limit the freedom of the prediction forum.
He is AFRAID if people post their own predictions it may besmirch his high and mighty self image. He sounds full of himself and his self image.

I sent him a heated U2U and he IMMEDIATELY gave me a WARNING. Is this a MODERATE action?

SkepticOverlord is a control freak. Perfect for the NWO control hierarchy. He is INSECURE.

Deny ignorance, don't be ruled by FEAR. Your own or others.

He lacks the mental balance to be a moderator. He wants to FORCE ATS to be what he wants and not allow it to organically grow to become the most it can be.

There would be no ATS without Simon and SO. HE's a damn good mod.

Here is a little word of advice. There are a few thousand members on this board and you are the only one I know of that holds that opinion. That should ring a little bell for you.

Most people, including myself, hold Skepticoverlord in high regard because of who he is. He puts so much time and effort into making this place what it is for us to enjoy and he hardly gets enough thanks.

Frankly if you don't like it here then leave.

Calling people nazis is a good way to be warned, this board is supposed to be a place for intelligent discussion, no matter how crazy the issue. We all break down and go a little looney from time to time (I know I do and have made some stupid posts alright) but resorting to personal attacks is never the way to go. SO does some amazing work on this board and we wouldn't have half the stuff here, like the camera phone board, the campaign 2004 board, etc... without him.

My suggestion is that if you want to post your predictions use BTS, its open for pretty much anything.

If you post the EXACT language of your U2U you sent to him here we might be more sympathetic to your cause.

I think you need to take a couple of deep breaths and show some moderation yourself. It is a difficult job to moderate the wide ranging opinions in this site and by seeing what you were warned about I would have to agree that you stepped over the line this time.

Just relax and let the anger go, you will feel better once this is done.

I’ve been a member of ATS for some time now and have never felt that the moderators of administration have attempted to limit my speech in any way. I’m surprised to hear you say what you have said. If anything they promote the right to express your ideas no matter how “far out” they may be. I think SkepticOverlord does an awesome job leading this discussion board.

Furthermore I would probably warn you if you called me a Nazi.

If you click on your warn, you'll notice it was for a personal attack, calling him a Nazi.

Personal attacks are not welcome here, be it directed at another member or staff, and will not be taken lightly.

It is much to SO's credit that ATS is what it is today.

I think an apology would be appropriate.

There is no person who has done more for ATS than SkepticOverlord.

Plus, he's an Administrator not a moderator. Two very different things.

He warned you for your language and ad hoc attack in the Predictions forum, not because of your opinion.

By the way, since BTS's dreams forum was converted into a predictions forum as well, I think SO has made a wise choice.

ATS should remain a discussion about others, not us.

Skeptic gave you an appropriate warning. Some Nazi. I would have banned you from my community. You sent him a heated U2U? Lemme guess... "you nazi admin &@*&@#!!! you can't tell me what to do" or some crap like that. SkepticOverlord is a good and fair person. Everyone else feels about the same as well. So that leaves just you. So.... maybe its just you.

The mods on this site bend over BACKWARDS to keep this site running, and they also make it the damn awesome site that it is.

what have you done for ATS lately, Slank? What major contributions have you made?
