Cyclone Dora is churning up the West Coast of Mexico and is currently at the mouth of The Gulf of California.

Here is the US Navy's current prediction for the path of it's destruction.

This storm could bring flooding and lots of mudslides.
The good news? Surf's up baby

I'm trying to find a estimated time when Dora will hit L.A., but the Navy isn't even giving times or dates on their tracking charts.

Thanks for posting. Maybe this will push off that heat dome that has us all sweating and having heat strokes. We took our 9 year old to the ER for an ear infection. the waiting room was clear full, standing room only.

Yes, hopefully it will. It might push it right up the valley. That may cause some nasty air pollution problems though.
If you didn't get a chance to see the MD, you may want to consider getting her some Robitussin Children's Cough and Cold. It contains Pseudoepherine which will open up the Eustachian tubes of her ears and allow them to drain, relieving the pressure. The generic will work just as well, HOWEVER, READ the directions and make sure there are no contraindications or allergies. Maybe Children's Motrin will help as well. Still don't delay in seeing the MD.
My prayers are with you and your child.

I'm sorry, but I had to laugh at that! On the other hand, hopefully everyone stays safe and it fizzles out before causing damage.

And still people scoff at the Word of God!

Luke 21:11(KJV)
11And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

According the National Hurricane Centre wind speeds even before it gets past Mexico will be less than 39MPH

So it doesn't seem so serious

Does anyone know when the last hurricane that hit California or the west coast was. I may be just ignorant to west coast hurricane subject-matter but I don't remember ever having seen one in my lifetime, I'm 24. That seems strange to me, I'm sure they are possible but I just don't know when the last one was.

Oh, it doesn't seem to be a hurricane yet. Nor does it look like it will be. Well then, when was the last tropical depression or strong tropical storm to hit the west coast of the us.

I think he/she(?) might be referring to "coming" being spelled "comming". Just guessing - not trying to be a spelling nazi or anything.

I have doubts it will hit LA, after being tricked so many times like the Hurricane Linda that almost hit LA but a trough push it out. If it does hit, I am ready to see since it is a metrolink ride away. I always wanted to see an hurricane.
