A Little Info About W.I.S.P.S
Some of you who follow my threads / posts here on ATS will already know
(and I apologise for repeating myself) that amongst other things, I am
the founder of
W.I.S.P.S (Woodwytch Investigations of Supernatural & Paranormal Source) ... a small and extremely exclusive paranormal
investigation team that bears little similarity to any of the paranormal investigation teams you might have heard about before or seen on TV ... we
are a private group insomuch that we don't advertise ... we do not charge a fee for our services
(although if we're asked to attend a location
that isn't local we accept travel expenses) ... people who need our help just seem to find us ... this was certainly the case for the
investigation I am about to share with you.
For those of you who didn't follow my other thread(s) about a previous W.I.S.P.S case that effected two separate families at the same time for over a
year, here are the links;

This new
Case Of The Haunted Chair has some interesting details emerging that are a little different from the 'norm' and although I'm not
asking for help this time ... I thought those of you with an interest might like me to share as we go.
As with all of my threads I am not trying to convince or convert anyone and I gain absolutely nothing from lying ... all information shared in this
thread is accurate and true ... you either believe my reports or you don't
(it matters not) ... those of you who know my style already know
that I speak as it is ... I have no reason to elaborate or exaggerate the data/info I share in my threads ... so with that in mind I give fair notice
that anyone who tries to disrupt the thread by being rude will simply be ignored.
Anyone who wishes to offer input and feedback or as ask questions and give constructive critisism as we progress is most welcome.
The Phonecall
I live in a small North Yorkshire market town on the edge of the Moors and last week I received a phonecall from a lady who from here on in will be
referred to as
Sadie (not her real name) ... who I know well enough to say hello to in the street and no more ... so not only was I
surprised to receive a call from her, I was also surprised that she knew about W.I.S.P.S and had managed to find my phone number
(it proves the
point I made earlier ... when they need us ... they find us).
Sadie lives with Richard
(her partner) ... Laura
(her 17yr old daughter from a previous relationship) ... and Liam (her's and Richards
2 yr old son)
During the initial phonecall she explained that whilst she was skeptical her partner believed in the paranormal ... but even she was beginning to
question her reality because strange things had started to happen in the house and she wanted to know if I could help her.
Answering my preliminary questions she told me that over the last three and a half weeks there bedroom door had opened of it's own accord at least a
dozen times ... two of which they had physically seen with their own eyes. She said that the door was properly fastened and whilst the door handle
never physically turned it did click and then swung open back to the wall.
>>>Bedroom Door (note the handle)<<<
Sadie, Richard and Laura had all heard footsteps on the upstairs landing at different times when no-one else was up there or anywhere else in the
house.
Liam their 2yr old son had woken up sceaming on several occasions and would not return to his room ending up sleeping with his parents ... this is
something he'd never done before.
>>>Sadie & Liam<<<
But the thing that had prompted her phonecall on that day was what had happened after they'd all been out for the day and returned to the house
(no-one else had access to the house whilst the 4 of them were out and the house was locked). When Sadie went to take Liam up to bed he was
aprehensive and didn't want to go ... and the first thing Sadie noticed as she went in the room was the wooden toy train on the window ledge that
spells out Liam's name on the different carriages ... on this occasion the bricks still spelt out his name but they were stacked on top of each other
on the first carriage. And she was justifiably 'freaked-out'.
>>>Toy Train<<<
The house they live in is only a year old
(one of approx 20 new houses) but I know from my interest in local history that back in the day our
market town had it's own small station that was close to the area of the new houses ... but I also knew that during WWII there was an army camp in
the exact location of the houses and many soldiers left from the local station to get to the ports they were to be shipped out on active service from.
Even before visiting the house I felt very strongly that there were two active spirits in the house ... one was definately a WWII soldier ... the
other an 1800's nursemaid. Neither of which I felt was malevolent or harmful. So after relaying this information to Sadie I arranged for me and one
of my
W.I.S.P.S girls
(phenex ... also an ATS member) to go for our first preliminary visit on the Monday. My initial assumption was
that the spirits had been disturbed during the building of the houses ... this was proven to be a wrong assumption
(and a lesson that you should
never take anything for granted
)
>>>World War 2 Soldier<<<
>>>Nursemaid 1800's<<<
The 1st Visit<<<
On the morning of the first visit I spent a little time 'tuning-in' ... I always do this and more often than not I tend to pick-up some information
even before we set foot in the location. This time was no exception because no sooner had I sat down to still my mind-chatter I saw the soldier on my
mental TV screen and heard the name
Corpral Jack Wright ... normally I'm not very confident about names that pop into my head because I don't
consider myself to be psychic ... but this was so clear I was confident enough to accept it for what it was.
>>>British 'Tommy' WWII<<<
Added information told me that he was 22yrs old when he died and his friends called him
'Oakie' ... he had survived the Dunkirk landings but
had died in another 'D' battlefield in France ... and he'd returned to the market town because it's where he left from
(the station ?)
Another name that was put forward by my friend
(of 20+yrs) and fellow solitary witch who lives on the Isle Of Skye
(absent W.I.S.P.S
member) who I had liased with was -
Ellen Walters and she was somehow connected to the soldier.
During the visit it was discovered that Sadie had bought an old chair from the local auction rooms and the activity had only begun since it had been
in the house ... I 'feel' that the chair is actually connected to the soldier but not the nursemaid.
The most logical explanation seems to be that the nursemaid has been with Liam since birth and very likely shares a pastlife connection with him (when
she had been his nursemaid in life) the recent activity of the soldier has quite likely prompted her to step forward and make her presence felt for
several reasons.
>>>Nursemaid & Child<<<
>>>Initial Research By The Client<<<
A couple of days after the initial visit Sadie rang me very excited about the research she had carried out on the information I'd offered her so far.
She was able to confirm that there was indeed a Jack Wright who had survived the Dunkirk Landings in 1940, but he must have been wounded because he
was out of commission and didn't return to active service until 1942 when he took part in the
Battle of Dieppe in France where he was one of
the 3,600 british killed in the disasterous attack
(so it was confirmed that the information I received about him being killed in another 'D'
battlefield in France was accurate)
>>>Battlefield<<<
And if that wasn't enough for an initial visit Sadie also discovered that Jack Wright was born out of wedlock and when his mother eventually married
Jack took his stepfathers surname
(Wright) ... but his mothers maiden name was
Walters ... unfortunately Sadie was unable to find out if
her christian name was Ellen or not ... but that certainly proved there was a link between the two names given.
And to bring this case up to date so far, I had a visit from Sadie unexpectedly on Friday because of the most recent activity to occur.
The previous night
(Thursday) ... Sadie had gone out and Richard was looking after Liam ... bedtime arrived and when Richard took him up to bed
Liam looked scared and was looking around the room. Richard asked him what he was looking for and Liam whispered
'Where's the lady' ?
Richard asked him what lady he was talking about and Liam put his finger to his lips and whispered
'shhhh, it's a secret I'm not supposed to
say' !
>>>1800's Nursemaid<<<
We came to the conclusion that a nursemaid from that era might be quite strict and because Liam is going throught the
'terrible two's she may
be trying to keep him in check.
Needless to say we are going for a second visit on Monday so I'll update you then.
