For most of the NorthAmerican Continent
We are having a record heat waves never see before in fifty decades
The heat in the north is almost has bad compare to the US situation
The waves seems to be moving West to East and to the South

Could this kind of heat affect the Mexico Gulf ?
I think we need experts on this mather
i didnt saw any articles yet relating both and this is what worrying me ..
what kind of consequences that can have for this summer ?
any theories are welcome

Current Temperature in the Gufl is around 85 to 90 F (30-32 Degrees Celsius)
NODC

It may cause large super hurricanes as well, that may travel further inland-inland hurricane somewhat even tho they dont exist.

Possibly more Katrina like to come
that can devastate Texas, Lousiana, Mississipi, Alabama, Florida

Can the heat create a boiling effect on the oil releasing a methane cloud ?

No, the boiling point of crude oil, depending on the length of the carbon chain, is at least 300 degrees C, 10 times as hot as the gulf waters.

"Boiling" doesn't have to be from heat. In fact, the Gulf is full of dissolved Methane and frozen Methane. The Gulf Oil spill added even more methane to an already saturated Gulf. If the Methane is disturbed in a manner that coaxes it to turn from solution to Gas, then the entire Gulf will indeed "boil" and send giant tsunamis in every direction.

That scenario has happened before in volcanic lakes, and it would be an apocalyptic scenario for anyone near the Gulf.

Methane in Gulf astonishingly high --> Reuters News

Methane Solubility Curve = = = the hotter the water, the less stable the dissolved methane becomes.

Real worst case scenario for Gulf

Just in case anyone didn't have enough to fear from the economy, the war zones, the heat waves, the african droughts, the Norway bombings, the Greek bankruptcy, Libya, North Korea, China's new EMP weapon, or Iran's new centrifuge, LOL!

Imagine now with this heat
Cant get any hoter then now
if you see other mass animal deaths
its confirming the worst

Those articles are a year old. Where are the guys who complain about climate change wihen it is unusually cold and one gets all the - where's your warming now blow back.

So this year it is really hot and really cold. Fun times

Those articles were popular right after the Gulf Oil Spill, but the technical information is still relavent. The Methane in the Gulf was a threat even before the oil spill. The extra Methane from the Oil Spill, and the threat of an extra hot year, and the added threat of turbulent water during Hurricane Season just makes the situation more and more unstable. It becomes a question of not "if" but "when" will the Gulf decide to burp up some of this Methane. Could be the next hurricane, or could be another 1000 years, but it will eventually happen.

Methane Clouds, Huge hurricanes, tsunamies, heat augmentation, mass animal deaths, Gulf state now toxic

There is many nightmares outcome scenario that can happen du to this heat
If the Mexico Gulf were to be located in a cold place .. the outcomes risk of the spill would be far less then now

You worry too much.

Haven't you noticed all the claims of the beginning of the end of the world on here? It goes back several years.
Do a Google search for end f the world claims. There is a list of over 200 from so called experts going back centuries.

Life goes on with or without you.

I clearly remember last year.
They were talking about at least two years to fully understand the impact on the ecosystem(s).
So i wouldn't be surprise at all if an even more disastrous winter and spring in 012.

Check your local weather history for the years of 1936-7.

In our area we had the worst flooding in history. Nothing has come anywhere close since.
We are complaining about 17 consecutive days of above 90 degrees. In 37 we had 64 days above 90(non consecutive).

Bad weather comes in cycles. To make a connection between last years oil and this years weather is fear mongering.

yeah bad weather does come in cycles,
i really think this heat could affect the mexican gulf though

This 1 has been keeping in mind on a global scale as there are supposed pockets trapped or frozen and with the Earth warming up 1 wonders......

As to oil and climate and fear mongering, there is a direct-link between oil dispersant and magnetic s that, one can find via the curtailment of primordial mists, sea fogs etc, and I take the time to point it out to you and others that on the Quantum Atomic optics level and Atomic weight scale, when the ocean goes into its mist production mode, being when its glassed out during doldrums periods, where by if there is just one part per trillion of oil solubility within the oceans water, then given Atomic convex ion, and in all cases, the oil will re convex or reconstitute itself upon the glassed out surface and in doing so, even on the micron level it will and dose, lock the mists or fog production, being it is HydrH2o@Atomic six, and the oil bets it to the surface each and every time, there by locking the hydro permanently under the surface, there by a dead sea is coming your way and will also explain problems with fish IE oxygen levels

I hope you don't see this as fear mongering, but see it as fourth undermentioned, thinking above ones navel being Science has yet twigged to it or don't want to

Further to, this little understood Atomic consequence, your alarm bells may start ringing when I also point out that this, yet to be fully outlined problem, began with Valdez and Prince William Sound 1986 and strangely coincides with the major onset of the melting of the Arctic Polar cap, and the beginning of the true onset of climate change,
Further still my research leads to Magnetosphere, decline that has a direct link to the oil spills and the use of dispersant and the manufacturing of soluble oceans, being the primary cause

This summer the USA will see the hottest summer it ever has. This winter has been unusually warm in this area.

Back in 2010 it seemed everyone here on ATS predicted some kind of climate change due to the oil spill.

So when the climate change actually has happened, no one wants to talk about it? This subject should be getting a lot more hits than it has.

I made a post back in February, Abnormal seasonal weather - did we predict it?, yet few people seemed interested in talking about it.

So here is what we have:

Exceptionally warm winter here in US (mainly on east coast)
Exceptionally Hot Summer here in US (midwest and East coast primarily)

Warmest Year on Record in the United States.

The last two winters have been warmer than Usual in the US with each getting warmer

Europe has experienced the coldest winters in the past couple of years (this last one being colder than previous)

It is interesting to me how the beginning of the extreme temperatures correlates perfectly with the gulf oil spill. Even main stream media predicted some climate extremes at first, that is until they were shut up.

Why are so many people just ignoring this? Yes I'm sure glacial melt has a lot to do with it too, but lets look at timing here people.
