Some sources say "at least 3 shooters". Special forces and anti terrorist units are on scene so we will most likely see the body count increase now that firefighters and rescue workers can access the area.

Truly horrific, I don't believe 1 person can possibly shoot that many people. Killing in self defense is one thing, but to just wantonly mow down unarmed people is just unbelievable. My guess is that at least 2 gunmen are involved.

According to this report, the shooter was "tall and blond". Should monitor the evolution of information to see if the description of the shooter changes to "short and brown".

Oslo bomb kills 7, gunman fires on youth camp

Shortly after the bomb, a gunman described by a police official as tall and blond opened fire at the island of Utoeya north-west of Oslo

Short and brown? Just to clarify we aren't talking about Tatoo on fantasy island are we?

can I say something???? I hope to god that it was just some deranged individual that was responsible for all this ... rather that, than having the whole Islam thing becoming even more polarised..... and I say this as somebody who was less than 300m from the bomb.

A group has taken responsibility. Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami. However, this is probably just the usually tactic of claiming you did it just to get publicity. The only credible reports have the suspect as tall, blond and seemily a native Norwiegen.

www.nytimes.com...

Since it was a camp of labour youth (lefties), the guman (edit, I wasn't clear here sorry) may have been a ultra-nationalist rightwinger angry with Norway's immigration policies. That is the most likely scenario. That is at least what the public will find out in the end.

My real thoughts. Nah, I laugh at me when I actually draw out the whole plot. The answer is often elementary.

It seems to me, there has been a war against labour, and any country that has socialist leanings. Greece. Iraq, Syria, North Korea, Cuba. China was the sole exception. Brilliant plan really. Too bad it completely backfired and China, being an ancient, and wise culture, was able to captialize on opportunity that came knocking on their great wall.

Oops. I said I wasn't going to elaborate. Before I shut up, I'll just express this last thought. If you can't see the connection between the Wisconsin labour strike, and the market playing with Euro, you have no hope of understanding the real war. Corporations fight against the left. And occupy when there is a need for oil.

The truth of the matter...
I've resigned myself to the realization that I will never fully know the truth.
The CIA funded experiments into brainwashing.
That's about the only fact I can be sure of.

Well, Finland here. I'm kinda shocked about this, not too much, but a little. I mean certainly there was that Stockholm bombing, but no-one was hurt and it was an act of a lonely fanatic. In this case it seems to be more organized act of terror. That's what makes it all much more shocking. I was in Oslo this summer and it's really a nice city. When I now opened TV, it was kinda shocking to see that I walked through that place where the car bomb was set up. Anyways, in Finland we take it cool during such situations. Anyways, my deep condolences to all the victims and Norwegians (in general).

I read about this earlier; as well as the shooting at the Youth Camp.... what in the world is going on over there? Martial Law sounds like it's coming for Norway.

You are wrong my friend, it was a camp for youths supporting the Labour-party, i.e. middle to left wingers in Norway. They teach tolerance to other religions, like Islam. They are NOT a neo-Nazi party.

Hellhound is it time to get it over with. The conflict is actually already here. Let us get it all sorted. This will happen sooner or later, why not just get it over with. ?

There is no longer any reason to withheld the hate they feel for us and many of us feel for them are there?

Woudlnt it be great just to get all the problems out of the world and then focus on other things? - Personally I enjoy space exploration. I believe we should have a few worlds more availible in case something happens to this one.

Right now 10 is death in Oslo, Still i think it is a coverup on the isle so the focus will be off from the centrum atleast long enough for the teroists to escape. - This can actually be involving the government itself that would not be the first time that has happened. ?? or?

Well again just my 2 cents.

The justice minster just confirmed on a presser that the gunman is Norwegian.
This is most likely also the same man that bombed the goverment buildings and not some islamist group.

Alright maybe this is not Islamic related but there is no way in heck one guy did all this by himself. If that's the official line then it's clearly a coverup like with the OKC bombing.

What a huge impact has every such event on our minds and on actions of our western govts', hasn't it?
I wonder how it is to watch everyday news in Iraq or Libya...after ...what was the number... 1700th airstrike?
I just wonder to how many other airstrikes and not so importand and medialised collateral damage it will lead.

"They" don't care countless civil casualties in their wars because "they" cremated their care well. Moslem attack is very possible too. Who could be surprized? I mean... c'mon! It's not them or them. They don't need to construct complicated false flag operations when all you need is just to open a little back door to some usefull angry arabs or just wait.
One thing is for sure. This is what "they" were waiting for. "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste" huh?
It is not importand who did it. "THEY" already know their next target.

I must not have been clear, I know the camp was a labour camp. Left leaning. I was refering to the gunman as an ultra-national right winger angry with the left. He may be angry with immigration laws and is taking revenge on those "lefties" that allowed the influx of forgieners.

I wonder if one shooter pursued them to the shore, and another shooter in a boat offshore finished them off? Definitely looks like more than one suspect.

he is probably just the patsy who is getting burned for it all. not to say he wasn't the shooter he may have been, but he will be the fall guy while the other shooters vanish. there were reports of multiple shooters. if he is indeed a patsy, expect him to commit suicide or mysteriously die before his trial.

dead men tell no tales.
