We are past wet season now in tropical far north Queensland. It rained lots during the wet season! Damn Big-bro's in the U.S. playing god again and sending monsoon troughs and clouds and stuff over us. They do it every year too, and sometimes they send cyclones at us. people please understand Australia has ALL sorts of weather. look at 16deg south, and 145 deg east. yep, see land of the green, home of the breeze. lovely all year. unlike freezing TAZ, VIC, and multiple parts of NSW.

Depends on where in Oz you are - in the Snowy Mountains it would get that cold, and in many rural areas I've been to you almost freeze to the spot when you go out the door in Winter.

Summer here is like being in an oven. 40+ Celcius many days.

For obvious reasons this thread is meant to be a joke, to illustrate the fact that people read anything on here and actually take it at face value and seriously consider it.

That being said....the US would never invade because they don't have anti-drop bear weapons.

I believe Anti Drop-Bear weapons were classified as cruel and unusual punishment and therefore banned under U.N. conventions. The 'cruel and unusual' comes from the fact that, while eliminating the Drop Bear threat, they also irradiated Funnel-Web spiders turning them into the real life equivalent of Shelob from Lord of the Rings or Aragog from Harry Potter.

Dont know if you've ever seen a Funnel Web but thats not something you want to have gigantised

Nah, they funnel webs' never ended up that big mate, the biggest was size of medium dog, like a jack russel or great dane. And all our drop bear guns got taken of us by John Howard(not the U.N.) when he took everyone's guns. Unless you had the bears on your rural station. Then you could only get non-automatic DB (drop bear) guns. That don't help ya at night under the trees though, which is when the DB are at their most active. mmmmaATe.

Even though Drop Bears are suppose to be a national secret, it seems everyone knows of their existence. Drop Bears, like their smaller cousins the koalas, are not actually bears - but sadly the bear label has stuck. When they are young, they drop from trees aiming at small targets - like your hat. As they grow in size they drop on larger targets - like your car.
Today, not much is known about the Drop Bear, but if you ask an old soldier, they will tell you all about them. When World War One started, Australia feared it would be invaded and thus worked out a cunning defence plan involving the Drop Bears. Because no one could get by them, they made the Drop Bears Australia’s secret weapon and trained them to squash invading tanks and vehicles - this training continues today.

Current intelligence reports claim that the Terrorist Satellite of Doom was a WMD delivery system developed by terrorists, in an attempt to destabilize western governments; they planned to use its weapon system to kill heads of state, other important official and as a terror weapon against major population centers. It used high velocity Drop Bears to destroy targets and in most cases much of the surrounding area.

History
Anti-terrorist officials have stated that the satellite was launched in to orbit in late 2005 however before it could be used its existence was discovered by the Bush administration and was used in attempt to create public support for ongoing anti terrorist activities [[1]]. It was then attacked and disabled, according to a Bush administration spokesperson, by a joint US and UK task force.

The released intelligence document state that the Terrorist Satellite of Doom is cable of deploying multiple Drop Bears simultaneously and is able to hit a single person in a crowed (though the Bear will then go on to kill the crowed).

Many major experts’ theories that the Drop Bears were smuggled out of Australia in early 1990 and under went an extensive period of genetic engineering in Afghanistan which allows them to survive re-entry to the earth’s atmosphere.

Being launched by a satellite gained the Drop Bears two major advantages, first the addition velocity they gain increases there force of impact many times and second they are no longer limited to attacking those who stray under eucalyptus trees. In this way the Drop Bears can be viewed as being in a symbiotic relationship with the terrorists.
