Iran has already announce their Bourse, so you can expect to see rather immediate action in Iran.

Thats old news and people on ATS have been claiming imminent action in Iran for at least 5 years..

Still waiting...

You have the time and effort to read and reply to these posts let you show no links for this 1000 prisoner masacre... I did a small amount of research and found that Gaddafi's son was in charge of looking into the case and that to this day its still under investigation. As in not proved to have happened yet. And where did the number of people who alledgedly died come from? 1 inmate who was released.... and there was no link that Ghaddafi was the one who gave the orders, The prisoners took one of the gaurds and then tried to escape.

So no dice on that one friend.

Allegations dont count... unless you want me to bring up the American goverments alledged 9/11 thing... you know the one...

Doubt you'll have to wait too much longer. The threat of a bourse is old news. The introduction of the bourse is relatively new news. I'm expecting action within the next 12 months. Don't be suprised if their failure to drum up public support for action is followed by some type of false flag, either here or abroad, to be used a "proof" to support their argme nt that we need to attack Iran.

New country, old script...

Ah right, so because the CIA operates a small dogy prison were a handful of guys get waterboarded so they tell the CIA where their bosses plan to massacre civilians, that is comparable to Gaddafi slaughtering over 1,000 opponents in cold blood?

They should not have attacked gadhaffi with the backing of NATO. Where is your source as well for this. Who were these people who got killed? The rebels (terrorists)? If so they deserved it for attacking the President of Libya

Here are just a sample of the 1.9 million hits I got for a simple serach. You'd think in this day and age people could use a search engine by now, but hey..

en.wikipedia.org...

www.reuters.com...

This one is good as it details all the Human rights abuses

THE_PROFESSIONAL, you are showing a stunning amount of ignorance for someone who has such a strong opinion. All the prisoners were political prisoners, sent there for merely protesting or otherwise trying to exercise their basic Human rights.

Are you seriously suggesting that because they opposed "The Leader" (not President, Libya has no such position - again, showing your ignorance) they deserved to be masacred in Prison? I assume then that you would support Obama gunning down anyone who would dare to oppose his policies, simply because he is the President and as such, should not be opposed in any form?

EDIT: The massacre was in 1996, not 2011... Again, showing your ignorance of the situation.

I am sure we are a fine example of Good over all that Evil out there! Sadly, my sarcasm does not type well, but from what I gather the CIA is afoot and they have recruited non-Libyan nationals to act as "Rebels" against their supposed oppressor! Typical! We give them arms and uniforms and suddenly they are the "Good Guys".

As far as I am concerned the US is going to lose this and quite possibly, finally, we will see one of our own up on War Crimes. So many in the past have gotten away with murder in the call of "Humanitarianism" and "Freedom"; even now our own have been sending Guns to Guatemala and Mexico and yet no one will see a single day behind bars.

This is clearly a path that only the Arrogant and Self-Righteous walk, and one day that path will burn them where they stand! Sooner than later!

My heart goes out to all the innocent civilians that are going to hurt because this regime cannot control their spending and cannot tell the truth! We will go down in History, this much is for certain, and we will go down with the worst of them. I am ashamed of them all, I have been ashamed since the first Daddy Bush came along; Clinton was our pudding, Baby Bush was the bitter sweet filling, and Obama is just the icing to make us all feel like we are going to get some Change! Time to eat our cake and swallow it with Pride, if there is any left!

he does have a kick-ass security team, tho and i like the tent deal he does.

but he has started a lot of trouble and has killed a lot of innocent people.

was it clinton that put a cruise missile through his window?

he's had it coming for a long time.

i also dispute our role over there, as being more than it is.

" I assume then that you would support Obama gunning down anyone who would dare to oppose his policies, simply because he is the President and as such, should not be opposed in any form?"

Oh and he doesnt do this already? Are you freaking kidding me?!?!!? Almost all Amerikas presidents gun people down for there own gain!

And you talk about political prisoners? What about Manning? what about the Agent provocatuers who get a crowd of protesters riled up and then the boys in riot gear come in and smash the hell out of everyone with excessive force. Ive even seen riots where people have been beaten and then dragged into vans and taken away... i wish i could find the videos.

and your Disco terror incident i have found to be a farce aswell.

"A bombing of a nightclub used by US soldiers in Berlin in 1986, blamed on Libyan agents, proved a decisive moment.US President Ronald Reagan ordered air strikes against Tripoli and Benghazi in retaliation for the two soldiers and one civilian killed and the dozens of wounded, although there was no conclusive proof beyond intelligence "chatter" that Libya had ordered the attack."

Source: www.bbc.co.uk...

No conclusive proof. If you want to keep spewing alleged terror incidents and blaming Libya then as i said, i have no problem bringing up the alledged things that other leaders have done which are WAY worse
then Ghaddafi's. i.e 9/11

LOL!

Was Col. Gadhafi's gold-for-oil, dollar-doom plans behind the attack on Libya?

Then you simply have not bothered to look, if you seriously don't believe the wrongs this guy has done.

Sponsoring terrorism, namely the IRA, Lockerbie and the Berlin Disco bomb. A prison massacre where over 1000 political prisoners were executed for having the temerity to complain about the crap conditions there. Many dissaperences of opposition, massacres of protesters and brutal supression of individual rights and freedoms we take for granted.

I;m not going to furnish links, such things are readily found for those who actually bother to look and the many Libya threads on ATS itself are repleat with such sources.

Do the leg work.

For once yes, even they were proof that Gaddafi forces was targeting civilians as well.

Thank you Kro i will look at the first link you gave me however i have seen those videos and pictures on the daily beast and i prefer not to go off them because they could be anything at all... It does not show clearly Ghaddafi's troops opening fire. It just shows random people dead or injured and crappy videos of gunshots and shaky cameras, i find this akin to UFO vids

The whole thing stinks to high heavens like the WMD argument with Iraq. With a new bank set up in the first week or two of the conflict, this is a big part of it. It allowed the oil to continue to flow and the international banking cartels got their debt ridden corrupt practices into the country. If the rebels do win then Libya will be a nation in debt in no time.

As for what Ghaddafi done wrong, he cared more about the human entity than the corporate entity. He told the US and NATO to get stuffed as they tried to muscle in on the country. He tried to unite Africa, which would be a huge threat to the US and Europe as their divide and conquer tactics come to an end in the region. He tried to establish integrity and responsibility into the banking system, not the debt slavery we have. Moving away from the troubled USD in oil trading also annoyed a few oil and money barons. He was a good guy in a bad world, that is what he done wrong.

Also what about Whistle Blowers in the US like Bradley Manning? hes a political prisoner. All he did was "complain" about the crap the US does with its military. There could be hundreds like him gone missing in the US.

I hate to say this but, last I checked Manning was in the US Army at the time we are told in BMT that while you are in the military actions like the ones he took are considered treason its a zero tolerance kind of thing. Not in full agreement with it but he signed his own contract and then did what he did knowing what would happen to him I can't feel sympathy what so ever.

I'm sure he has done enough and is not clean, But i find it very plausible that he is taken down to preserve the hegemony of the petrodollar.
Nothing to do with his past, but all with oil.

it was reported on the media yesterday that the us was offering a safe
haven for mr g. i wonder more about the reasons behind the offer than
all of the 'facts' cooked up by the media regarding crimes mr g has
apparently committed. it seems crass that for so long oil companies
have taken what they require whilst the media has portrayed mr g's
country as a haven for international strife. european politicians
shaking hands and offering hospitality until they spit their dummies
out of the cot.
i also consider that mr g has done a lot for his country with welfare
and health. it is after all an arab nation and for those that have travelled
through similar countries, the mindset and culture is so different from
the west.
let me ask this, who are the bullies on this planet causing economic
turmoil and spinning the media to shape the perceptions of the masses?

the truth may never be known with regards to what mr g has 'done' to
his own people but i feel it is a drop in the ocean to what other
'civillised' nation leaders are guilty of.

did mr g really scare the west that much by uttering a gold standard,
having transformed a huge amount of the desert into agricultural land
and almost becoming self-sufficient to a point that with no international
banks embedded in the country, could actually thrive without debt?

a personal wish of mine is for all instigators of suffering to wake one
morning and not know who they are or what they have done for the rest
of their lives. perpetual confusion to all of them.
window lickers to the end.

Personally I think he was attacked because of the banks and wanting to sell his oil for gold. As to him helping terrorists, IRA ect. well the IRA got most of their funds from the good old USA.
Sponsoring terrorists? Like al quada? Another USA funded organisation.
Bin ladin was on the cia`s payroll right up to 911. Plus he was never wanted for any 911 crimes. Bush and the bin ladins lol Bin ladin was owed a medal for helping to defeat the evil commies in the Afghan. Weapons for heroin. Bin ladin was bushs man on the spot, dealing weapons for drugs.

Ive been doing some research on Ghaddafi and found alot of really good things he has done for Libya and also Africa while he has been in power.

For example. Trying to unite the African people to the United States of Africa.
Trying to intruduce the Gold Dinar which would eventually turn Africa from a 3rd world country into something more prosperous.
Creating the great man made river to make Libya a source of agricultural abundance, capable of producing adequate food and water to supply its own needs and to share with neighboring countries.
Dividing the profits of all natural resources amongst the Libyans.
Making all education for men and woman free.
Free Medical for all libyans including the rebels and if the medical procedure cannot be done in Libya the government pays for the people to go overseas and have the procedure done.
And the list goes on...

However... I have a hard time finding the bad things that hes done. When i say "hard time finding the bad things" i mean speciffically, with sources and dates etc... I never hear the end of how hes a bad man and he murders people but when i ask who did he murder or what exactly did he do people just say "I dont know hes just a crazy dictator who murders people for fun" or other things along those lines.

So I am reaching out to the experts on ATS to shine some light on this whole Ghaddafi issue. I want all the bad things you know hes done with sources if you can. and please... CNN and Fox etc are not sources....

Regards

I really dont think you realise what the libyans use to get from there government, you DO NOT get more in benefits, unless your some kind of benefit cheat claiming every benefit possible and your claming a massive council house being payed subsidised for you.

The libyans get money every year from there oil reserves, they get paid a cash sum when young couples get married, when starting a new business, Gaddaffi gave them a large cash sum, something in the range of $20000 (obviously not pounds) to get them started, this was for every citizen.

If Gaddaffi is so bad to his people, why does he have so many supporters, namely women supporters ? doesnt he order all his viagra filled soldiers to rape all the women ? No he doesnt, tahts the rebels, ethnicially cleansing and raping every town they pillage from Gaddaffi's troops.

Some people on this site must be paid disinfo agents as i dont undetstand how they can be so ignorant to this Global strategy of destroying someones credibility to get the public to not care about the crimes we are committing in Libya every day since we got there.
