Law enforcement sources say the FBI has arrested an agent of Pakistan's official state intelligence service, accusing him of making thousands of dollars in political contributions in the United States without disclosing his connections to the Pakistani government.

He's the exective director of a group called the Kashmiri American Council
A call to the Kashmiri American Council's office in Washington went unanswered this morning

U.S. officials say there's no reason to believe that members of Congress or other organizations that received his contributions were aware of his government connections.

Then perhaps they need a dictionary to understand what Lobbying means.

In any case this is an outrage
Don't they understand that you CANNOT be a foreigner and lobby America unless the foreign state is Israel?

Anyhow, this is small
I'm sure there's loads of chinese lobbyists as well as Israeli

Shouldn't they also arrest the yahoos that took the contributions and in effect sold out American interest for money.

Isn't that treason?...........nah, business as usual.

Yes that would be the most interesting part of the story. And it's not in the story.

Who is he/Pakistan giving contributions to? And also, why?

Inquiring minds want to know.

The story doesn't say.

This is a very good thing. FBI should do this with every lobby, whether that lobby is representing a nation or a company. Because in the end it's only going to help crumble your nation if you do not stand up against these practices. The Netherlands should do this as well, we had a defense minister who battled for the purchase of JSF(combat airplanes) and after his term he started working for the weapon manufacturers that sell this plane. Doesn't take a genius to see how detrimental this can be for a nation, seeing how one combat airplane costs in the tens of millions if not more. Tens of millions that could help improve your countries social-economic issues.

I think voting records that show financial support for Pakistan might narrow down the answer
But to say that there's no reason to believe those lawmakers knew his connections is ludicrous

There are lobbyists representing several countries in the US when the US Dollar is in circulation around the world. Nothing new.

My question is why now? This has been going on for a long time.

The inevitable cutting of relationships between the US and Pakistan and ensuing world war.

Haven't you read ANY Of Brzezinski's works?

I don't know how ludicrous it is, but I must admit, I'm very skeptical of that claim too! Perhaps some were well aware of the connection to Pakistan while others weren't? I don't really know. But I did find that hard to believe.

Just a thought.

That's what I'm saying and have been for the past months on this website.

The Iran issues we read here and in the news are there to keep people from focusing on Pakistan, where the next war will be fought. This will be a dangerous battleground, because once Pakistan is being invaded, China will start taking its position, at war with the US.
