Pakistani spies 'operating in Britain'

www.telegraph.co.uk

Details of the organisation emerged as two alleged spies were charged in the United States of failing to disclose their affiliation with the Pakistani government.

They are accused of secretly promoting Pakistani interests in the long-running conflict between nuclear-armed India and Pakistan over the disputed border region of Kashmir, using millions of dollars of covert funding.

Their arrest came as relations between the US and Pakistan continue to deteriorate in the wake of the killing of Osama bin Laden.

Syed Ghulam Nabi Fai, 62, a US citizen from Fairfax, Virginia, and Zaheer Ahmad,

Now it seems we have at least some knowledge of how they are getting so much in aid from western countries despite the fact they are funding and influencing Jihadi's who threaten us. No doubt the mass media will bury this story very quickly rather than give it the coverage it deserves, so that the general public finds out very little about it...

Don't think your story will be too popular around here - it's not like the spies in this story are Israeli or anything! The thing is that pretty much most countries have spies living in foreign states trying to gain some information for their local governments.

Spies?
They sound more like every other lobby group from Big Pharma to Bankers..

I see no mention of actual spying..

But then I think most lobby groups are criminal anyway.

Have a feeling we have not heard the whole story yet. The info so far points to them operating in a similar manner to CAIR in the US (a Hamas front organisation...) We will now have to wait and see if the media actually does the digging to find out what else they were upto..

Does anyone truly believe there are no British spies operating in Pakistan? So, what's the big deal with the reverse?

The Daily Telegraph is well known as an MI6 mouthpiece, something that should be always remembered when listening to them.

Daily Telegraph isn't only source in this case, huge agencies Agence France Presse and Reuters picked it, now it's spread all over.

But they were good for being one of the first reporting Al Qaeda within Libyan rebels...

So spies operating in one's country are to be ignored? Should we pat them on the back and say "Well done lads"? Maybe we should laugh and say "You got one over on us. Boy that was funny."?

I am sure that when Pakistan finds spies operating in their country, they take appropriate measures to deal with them. That is exactly what the United States and Britain should do.

No country tolerates spies. Well except the United States tolerating Israeli spies. But that's another cup of coffee.

You would have to be naive to the extreme to think Pakistan and other countries didn't have spies operating in the UK and other 'Western' countries.

I would also expect MI5 to be more than aware of their presence and activities.
