According to Belgian newspaper 'De Morgen' the radical spiritual leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman, a very good friend of Osama bin Laden, momentarily is
paying a visit to belgium.
This claim is based on anonymous sources of intelligence within the Justice Department of Belgium.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman is a very disputed person, because of his close relations with bin Laden. There are rumours that he gave shelter to the
terrorist leader several times. In Pakistan Rehman is particularly known as the leader of Harakat-ul-Ansar, a movement which was raised in the
eighties to recruite volunteers for the Jihad. Harakat-ul-Ansar has been held responsible for the attack of the WTC in New York '93. This attack
killed a number of people and more than a thousand people got injured.
Rehman was preaching in the Pakistanish Mosque in Brussels last wednesday.
He also paid a visit to a mosque in the city of Antwerp.
A visit to a mosque in Rotterdam, the Netherlands was planned for last thursday but was cancelled at the very last moment.
Their was an extensive security during the visits of the spiritual leader. Within the broad surroundings of the mosques the federal belgian police
department screened and strip-searched.
Despite his notorious reputation no warrant of arrest was issued against Rehman, so the Belgian police couldn't arrest him.
